I have been a hairdresser for 30 years. The area I live in does not have a big natural curly clientele. I found your RU-vid videos one night as I was looking at other videos. I think you are the best teacher for naturally curly hair that I have ever seen. This hairstyle you created for your client is amazing. I have worked with wigs for chemo patients but I have never seen this before. I hope you continue the work you are doing for your clients. You are amazing and she is beautiful.😍😍
I have taught friends to use a curling iron or flatiron to “curve” the hair (you referred to it as bumping) because I agree, it makes the look softer and more realistic. You did a beautiful job, and she looks so young and fresh and happy when you are finished. Such a gift!

I even took additional in-person, hands-on classes where I learned a little bit more, but didn’t have the opportunity to really use the tips, so my confidence in cutting isn’t there. Scarring alopecia is genetic and usually irreversible. Weave causes a different kind of alopecia, called traction alopecia, which can sometimes be reversed (not always).

To the heroic lady whose bravery in showing the reality of that awful disorder of alopecia I bow to you ma'am. I know the depth of courage it takes to face the world with this condition and it is higher than the bravest of men. I have been a hairdresser for over 35+ years and have seen the heartache and distress it causes, even to a person who would rather be gone from this world, and why? Because of a tiny minority of young AND old alike, who think because you have alopecia you have also become deaf to their hateful and uncalled for remarks.
