Hi Sabrina. Oh my God! Your words are the words that I have been living by for the past year. My mom left me July 15, 2023. I had become her full-time caregiver for the last eight months of her life. I cared for her Almost 24 hours around the clock. Stress was my first name. I didn’t get much sleep. My diet was trash. I never realized how much stress I was under. July 1 is when I noticed my hair broken off in the center. It was almost to bra strap length all over the rest of my head. I was diagnosed in September 2023 with CCCA. I later learned that stress can be a contributing factor. Guess what, my attitude is that it’s only hair. Of course I don’t want to lose my hair, so I am trying to do what I can to slow any progression. I live every day or at least I try to live every day in gratitude. Everyone that knows me has heard me say the same words that you said in this video. Every day is a gift and time should not be taken for granted. Don’t put off till tomorrow what we can do today sometimes I know it’s easier said than done. Make yourself a priority. When you first spoke of your mom, a big lump formed in my throat. I don’t personally know you from anywhere, but my heart goes out to you. Yes, you have a long process of emotions ahead. I am still going through it. Some days are quiet on the emotional side and other days not so much. I am sending lots of comfort and peace your way.

Hi Sobrina, I too have scarring alopecia and I’m surprised to hear you’ve had hair regrowth.Scarring alopecia destroys the hair follicle, making regrowth impossible. So how did you get your destroyed hair follicles to regrow hair? Are you saying vitamins did this?

Sobrina, my condolences again on the passing of your precious mom; her passing is still fresh but I know God will strengthen, comfort and take you through this period of pain. Your hair looks healthy and lush! That story about the passing of your sister's friend so soon after the passing your mom is deep. Yes, live life!

Hi Sobrina, I am new to your channel, but, we have very similar stories. My mom passed away in May 2023 at the age of 80 from cancer. Her birthday was on 8/8 and she would have been 82 this year. I also have scarring alopecia and thinning at the temples. I remember my stylist telling me that my scalp was red. This was almost 20 years ago. I didn't understand what inflammation was back then. I went on about my business, even though I noticed that my hair was thinning over time. It didn't bother me very much because I have really thick hair which covered the thinning area. I realized that the top of my head had a bald spot that was the size of a pea. Other spots appeared down the top, center of my head. One day last year I was blow drying my hair and saw clumps of 7-8 strands flying around the bathroom. It was the hair at my temples! I had been noticing that certain styles just didn't work for me anymore. It was then that I decided to just shave it all off. It's been a year now and I love it! The bald spots don't bother me. I don't know why, but, they just don't. I'm still cute!😁I kinda wish that I had cut it sooner because I love the freedom that a bald/brush cut gives me. I feel even more feminine with super short hair! Thank you for posting about your journey. I am going to try the pumpkin seed oil. I already take a multivitamin and I'm going to add minerals to my regimen. I pray that God gives you comfort.

I’m so sorry to hear that you and your daughter are going through this difficult time. It’s completely understandable that you feel helpless right now, but please know you are not alone. It’s great that you’re encouraging her, and it’s important to continue to remind her that her beauty and intelligence are not defined by her hair. Alopecia can be very tough, especially for someone so young, but with your love and support, she can build confidence and learn to embrace her unique journey. Consider reaching out to support group for children with alopecia, where she can connect with others who are going through similar experiences.
