After 12 years only 38k views??? Damn this video should be in the millions. I think I heard this song like 5000 or more times through out 12 years. Amazing song
@@vernonroach721 I also noticed that, I had this song in my favs playist and its said its blocked in my country. I live in Canada. Fuck you vevo for blocking it .
i heard this song when it came out and have been searching for it ever since, all i could remember was the opening guitar notes and it drove me crazy , the search is finally over
2020 anyone?? HOLY CRAP I HAVEN’T CHECKED THE COMMENT SECTION OVER A YEAR!! This is so satisfying that people remember this song 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥. Thank you for the likes everyone 😭😭😭.
This is a perfect song for the times we are in and have yet to see. "They say" is a weapon that is getting everyone to turn against each other. Thank you system of a down, scars on Broadway and last but not least Serg Tankian for keeping me grounded. Thank you for speaking your mind and keeping freedom of speech alive : )
Brahh!! This how some weed lovers be doing it. Around 08-09 i used to write song names on a piece of paper that I would listen on the radio so that i would listen or download the song later. I used to get high listening to these "not so played" songs sitting in my tinted window car at night. But that all ended a year later in 2010, never heard of them again. 2021. 11 years later im high again and somehow i find that piece of paper with song names from 2009. One of the song names written on the paper read- "Scars on Broadway- They say". Said to myself "that sounds kinda familiar, I remember the name of the band but not the song and if its on this paper I must've liked it a lot" So I searched it up and... here I am. HOOOOOOLYYYY SMOKES!!!!! I REMEMBERED IT!! This song is so good Im glad i found it again. See? Weed brought us together the first time and weed reunited us again 11 years later! If it wasnt for weed I wouldnt know of this gem and that wouldve been a real mofukin shame.
@@malika89 Glad Im not the only one bro! I really hope your mind sees your life when you used to listen to those songs. coincidence or not. Last night i was looking for a cassette adapter through all the junk in my trunk and I happened to find another piece of paper from 08/09! I said, hmm this should be very interesting! Read through the names picked one looked it up in YT and OOOOOOHHHHH 🤯🤯🤯 within the first second i had a taste in my mouth from 09 lmao! Only listened 2 seconds of it and decided i would listen to it in the right moment and condition. I have a feeling im gonna go ape shit when i hear it. I hope you get the same feeling bro! 🤙
I will never thank Codemasters enough for putting such masterpieces in their games soundtracks. DiRT 2 was such a cool game and the soundtrack was just as good, or even better maybe...
That's where I discovered the beautiful masterpieces such as White Lies and Temper Trap. Still listen to this day! Scars on Broadway is in almost every Playlist I have
@@nickelsaarrowads My dad did a lot of work on that game im so happy to see people who still appreciate it like me, i grew up with the same songs and is still my number one most adrenaline game today
My dad lead all the marketing behind that game and a good friend of his did the music Christian Stevenson who now works with Jamie Oliver🤣, So nice to see others appreciating such a game and one i was lucky to grow up alongside🫡🫡
@@haniefpearce that's really cool! It shows miles away that a lot of love went into that game... soundtrack, graphics, engine sounds, graphic design, the menu, everything really was top tier in 2009 and has stood the test of time brilliantly. Even the physics were really good for an arcade-ish kind of game and were the right balance between fun, accessibility and realism. Say thanks from the random long-time Dirt 2 player that I am to your father for doing a part on such a masterpiece. If it wasn't for the marketing side I wouldn't have known about it and wouldn't have been able to receive such a cool 2009 christmas gift :D
I remember the first time hearing this song when it came out. I was driving and it came on the radio. It made me want to speed and be a little aggressive… but I controlled myself, ha ha. I’m also surprised that this song hasn’t had a massive boom in popularity over the last two years. It’s perfect.
Знаешь, дружище... Я, считаю, что на весь драйв SOAD держался на тебе! Будь здоров и твори своё! ТЫ можешь, ты готов! Выражаю всему вашему коллективу глубочайшее уважение! Всего ВАМ хорошего!
Damn I remember seeing this video on headbangers ball on mtv back when I was like 12. I’m about to be 24 now and still listen to it!! Ima check back in at 46 haha
I remember when this song was released, but it shames me to admit that I forgot such an epic song/band existed for 14 years.... I hit a long rough patch that I am still in, but I just happened across this video again after so long, and this song is just as great as when it was released. Not only that, the lyrics are still relevant, and i feel that they will be for a long, long, time.
Please check out Serg Tankian too. Serg as well as scars on Broadway split from system of a down and were nothing but pure truth and originality. I can promise your ears will not be disappointed : )
this song brings me back to my late uncle lance. I was maybe 7 and he was maybe in high school. this reminds me of him. this was one band I remember he listened to. he passed in 2011
I love the energy and the sound. Every time I play Guitar Hero on Wii (the ONLY reason to still own such ancient hardware), this song is definitely in the set.
Flashbacks to being a teenager, listening to this while walking to school. I was full of resentment, and in such a hurry to grow up. Now I want those days back; today is so much worse. Still, music doesn’t age, it’s there forever. I wish I could go back in time to the moment I heard this song for the first time and it swept me away.
I've been a system of a down fan since as far back as I can remember (literally my first musical memory is listening to Prison Song with my dad in the car, I guess the drums at the beginning were enough to kickstart self-awareness) but I only just recently found out that Daron had 2 solo career albums, I lost count of how many times I've looped them both back-to-back, I can't stop listening to them.
Вот я сегодня ещё placebo song to say goodbye и кавер курта the man Who sold the world послушал,и понял что это 3моих шедевра...... Ну ладно, trapped in the corner конечно
Been playing this awesome song to hear it through my 🎧 while working out in the gym. Driving my pickup through ruff terrain. And playing my 🎸 through the riffs, on occasions. Thanks for posting such an awesome and unforgettable song 👍🙂.
