I always thought scars were ugly. I have a single, double triple scar that runs along my abdomen. But after my recent hospital stay and emergency surgery that saved my life, I'm embracing my scars. Scars are the uncolored tattoos of the body. I embrace my scars. They tell a story. I'm proud of my scars and my journey.

I have a surgical scar and I covered it with a tattoo. I cried over it feeling imperfect and inadequate. I feel self conscious in summer when it is visible to others. this song brings tears to my eyes.
