That is exactly right - she makes me laugh more than any actress ever. I can remember what movie she was in where she played herself & was like faked killed but that was freaking hilarious! I want to say Pineapple Express but am probably wrong.
I am Japanese and the scene when she says "Harro" had me in stitches for 15 minutes. I watched that film at the cinema in Tokyo when it came out and the entire room was laughing so hard. This has got to be for us Japanese, one of the funniest quotes in a foreign movie in history !
@@rotten5911 Not in Japan, we have a very high self derision level, and to be quite honest we do not give a damn what the world thinks of us. As long as it comes from abroad, it never affects us, but if a non Japanese starts to insult us intra-muros then this will be dealt with very efficiently and quickly. We never understood the cultural appropriation crap you guys in the west have. 70% of our culture comes from China and India, just like 70% of western American (north south and central), French, British, Scandinavian, German, Spanish culture comes from Italy and Greece, and 70% of Italian and Greek culture comes from Egypt, Mesopotamia, Sumeria, China, India. Cultures have always been borrowed and appropriated so we never understand why you are so touchy about it, or why you have such short memories. We laugh at the Asian Americans, attacking Katy Perry and Madonna, pretending that Kimono can not be worn by white people but think this is ok for other Asians to wear them as if we were all one big country Asia ! We also laugh a lot when a Black person wearing wetsern clothes says that for a White or Asian to wear dreadlocks or cornrow is cultural appropriation. I mean this is absolutely ridiculous. I am Japanese i wear western clothes on a regular basis, i have my hair done in a western style, i even dye it blond or brown, and i have naturally green eyes, so i guess i am appropriating culture since i was a toddler and even before. because i never wore Kimono as a baby, i never had my hair in the Chonmage style, i do not carry a sword and spend my days watching sumo wrestling. The only person in Japan who is not appropriating any culture is the Geisha, other than that, we are all appropriating someone else's culture and we are very fine with it, because we have far more important things to deal with than this BS. You'll notice, it is always the ones who are bored out of their wits who cry cultural appropriation, never the ones with busy, meaningful fulfilling lives.
This is one of the reasons Scary Movie 5 failed. Anna Farris brought a sense of innocence and naiveté in the role that really worked with the tone and humor of the movies.
Anna Faris was perfect for the role of Cindy. She is beautiful yet a bit awkward, has perfect comedic timing without seeming self aware and above all she is a fantastic actress!
I love this chick!! imo, her acting skills are beyond impressive!! and she is totally underrated as being just a great funny actress!! which, i know some people will disagree, but hear me out....try and keep in mind that, in these movies, she is playing a role based from the roles of several other characters in various horror flicks, which is the equivalent of learning to portray each one of the many different personalities in a funny and extreme, yet also a genuine way... and she ROCKS at it!! And she is just super fuckin' adorable!! 🤩😉😀
Her facial expressions are so funny in all the scary movie series. She's soooo stuuuupid!!! Don't know why I don't see any memes with her pics all over the net.
The part where she burns the little grudge boy's hand always gets me. Just the amount of different yelling going on from fear to surprise then pain and then confusion lol just oh my God it's too good.
As a kid I really thought they were speaking Japanese the first time I seen it so I wasn't really paying attention. The second time I was like, wait wtf is she saying.
2:46 Hibachi, Benihana, Teriyaki? = Do you live here? Nagasaki, Okinawa, Hokkaido, Yokohama. = Your Japanese is awful. It dishonors my ears. Karate, Judo, Sumo, Samurai. = Are you a ghost? That's some Japanese lesson right there. lol
I actually watched this as a kid thinking it was just Japanese. Watched it last year and i was fucking screaming at the fact that my dumbass believed that shit
One of the funniest chicks ever, and she can keep doing it for several movies in a row without ever losing her edge. Seriously, the Oscars need to consider comedy.
shes one of the best female comedy actors. She shows serious maturity in her understanding of comedy. Shes gotta be in her early 20's in some of her films. Shes a straight up savage
“Martin Luther King day?” “Then no” “Why not?!? Everyone else is taking it off” “Jesus Christ lady I’m giving you 7 freakin days or I coming over right now and cap the shit outta you if you’d rather”
The fact that when Cindy almost broke the fourth wall was so funny LMAO the cameras every damn time they zoom in, it almost feels like you can touch them. And it's Cindy who portayed it so well lol
Yo mean? Or its supposed to be y'all know what I mean? It was just the slang makes it shorter. Wait are we talking about the same movie tho? I'm confused lol
I've never seen an entire Scary Movie, but I remember the clip of her throwing "grandma" down the stairs from the trailer that always played. All these years later and I'm still giggling at that scene!!!
Y'know I rarely gut laugh anymore if at all and these clips consistently caught me off guard even though I've seen every movie a long time ago. She has great timing.
