I can not watch that video of the girl in the elevator. I've watched it once and it freaked me out so bad for so long. As soon as you started playing it i looked away until i heard your voice again. Pheww.
I feel exactly like u EVEN MORE so BC I had a LAPD friend send me the footage BUT extra close up n told me look closely at left floor rite before the time he told me it would appear n wat I saw freaked me out Even worse than u. Bottom line at a exact time just for maybe 1 second n then maybe once again I freaked!!!! Bottom line at two separate times depending on how well u zoom in u can actually see one pair of definitely men's shoes or sneakers. Perfectly time it n u can too. THAT provedto me once n FINALLY that either LAPD or ownership management or both DID in fact do as many have suggested n clipped total 4 minutes viewing time from footage. Who couldn't let this girls video come out OR be seen near her...F-ING Creepy!!! There is a special like 16 point video of the elevator video done by somebody on RU-vid u NEED to see it best yet. ONE creepy point brought up of MANY was that the illuminati had an office either directly below or above her. How f'd up Is that right NOW?? VERY creepy!!!! Lmk I will send u link
It is only evil if you believe it is. Been there so nanny times and never saw, heard or felt anything. It's just a cool and beautiful hotel with a past.
I watched many a video on RU-vid about that place . what a scary place and horrible staff to boot. Great video and those kites were awesome. what a beautiful place californja is .
Cecil could have capitalized on their ghosts and history. They had two entrances anyway. One could have been for people who just need privacy and a room to sleep in and the other entrance could have had a creepier feel, strict rules, certain floors to record on and more security. I would have liked to visit Cecil for its creepy history.
Good news. It\s changed.. As of lately the security have been letting in tons of different vloggers at various times inside at night to scope it out.. It's closed down now but many vloggers have been able to get let in to walk around & video as much as they want..
I believe that Elisa was murdered by a cheaply hired employee, who is suppose to be doing security for the hotel. This person can get away with being stoned or high while he is on the clock. I also think the door that led to the roof that was suppose to be locked, was not locked after all. It could have also been one or more of the previous room mates she had. They were probably long gone and never interviewed being as her body wasn't discovered until some weeks later. Take care Jordan and Jah
I'm tellin u ppl the 4-6 mins of footage cut out is ur answer u even see the footwear of the hidden party for a quick second u have to find it n pause it. Someone something person or persons or a "thing" right outside the eyeshot of view. TWICE u can see his her it's footwear
The video of the Asian woman found in the tank on the roof? Very creepy. It looks as though she is either averting or flirting with disaster. Poor thing. Very sad.
Normally I am against tearing down cultural landmarks but I would say this one should be an acception! This place has an evil dark force within it’s walls. How many more people need to die before we realize this place is cursed! I think it needs to be demolished have a priest come and cast out those demons!
I am sensitive to spirits. Just from watching this vlog I can tell you that there is multiple spirits at the hotel. Some of the spirits there are angry. There is some very dark entities there because of the murders that took place there.
MOVING THROUGH KASHMIR , I agree with you there to. There is a very strong demonic presence. But there is the spirits of those that have died there to.
Jennifer Schaefer yes there is a dark force in this place....would not even drive down that street....in fact don't even want to finish watching this video .
Pretty specious reasoning there. I could tell you that there is an invisible pet rock that sings Rolling Stones songs and works a 9-5 job as a drama teacher but just because I can't prove that it doesn't exist must mean that it's real? Whatever you say buddy!
Wow! Another great vlog! Pretty creepy stuff. Weird how some places just retain that dark vibe and weird aura. Joshua tree was a famous hang out of the rock stars in the 70's. Heard stories that on any given weekend members of the eagles, Donovan, Jackson Brown and of course Kieth Richards and Gram Parsons would all be there. Keef and Gram would get high and go looking for UFOs in the desert. Joshua tree inn, room 8 is where Gram met his maker.
I grew up in Boyle4 Heights which ios just a few blocks Easty of Downtown L.A. and bnack in the 60's and 70's Main St between 3rd to 8th was our playground. It still had the old skidrow tuype establishments filled with all kinds of colorful characters/It was fun for us as preteen kids. They had the old Burbank follies where im sure many vaudeville acts played in the early 1900's including the Thre Stooges from what i've heard. Now it's all becacome hipsterville with the old building being renocated with sidewalk coffee shops . Me and my best friend Joey were 12 yrs old and use4 ton run numbers to a bookie joint called "Toros" right by the Cecil Hotel for these old gangsters that were jewish and italian. One was maed Norman Shuman who was one tough old NYC born and bred . He's pay us to go get him "a Coffee with a Corned Beef on Rye and keep the two dollar change for yourself"In 1969 2 dollars was like 10 dollars today and when we ran his numbers in a paper bag to the bookie joint we'd get 10.00 to split between me and Joey. We also use to run packages to the diamond district for an old Italian guy named Carlo Aiuppo and we were not allowed to look inside the packages and he's give us sometimes 20.00 dollars. We always did what we were told and kept our mouths shut. All those old guys are long gone now.Skid row was fun back then for us 12 yr olds. Now it seems to have lost something. As teens we worked for over 3 years bussing tables at Cliftons Cafeteria on 7th and Broadway. Great days when Downtown was magnificent. Did some crazy things at the Cecil Hotel as well.
There There is something "not right, in that hotel. I have seen the Cecil Hotel lobby it is magnificent. Numerous murders, suicides, murderers throughout the ages that stayed at the Cecil Hotel. Skid row very sad looks like it surrounds parts of the hotel.
Years ago during my two separate visits to Los Angeles I booked into The Cecil Hotel not knowing it's infamy. I personally had no problems with my stays there. Of course now I wouldn't go there because despite the assurances of the piping being completely sanitized just the thought of the water once being tainted with a deceased body would freak me out.
Yeah, thanks for doing this vlog. Yeah when I went there, the doorman blocked the entrance and wouldn't allow us to go in. I would never stay there, it's sketchy....no way.
I've stayed before and I was just in downtown LA visiting...they are currently doing a massive remodel of the hotel that is gonna take a couple years so no one is allowed in.
If this place isn't haunted, it should be! Maybe it's built on an old burial ground or something. As for Elisa, I do NOT believe she got onto that roof and into that water tank by herself.
What if there was a women serial killer for many years that would gain access to their rooms and *throw* or *push* the women out of the windows falling to the marquee??
It was the same when I and two of my friends went inside The Chelsea Hotel in NYC no filming or pictures and this was November of 2015 while they were renovating this Historical landmark which has a sort of a dark past also...cool video :-)
I wouldn’t go in there. I worked for the American Heart Assn. and one day was relieving the receptionist desk when in came a man who looked like Richard Ramirez in sunglasses. He approached me and asked for one of our managers that arranged fundraisers. I called her on the phone and to my surprise it was Jimmy Smitts the actor who was playing Richard Ramirez at the time in a TV movie. Boy, was I relieved it wasn’t Ramirez. Before Mr. Smitts left he said to me, “thank you darling, thank you.” Scary moment but nice movie star moment at the same time I will never forget. 😳😎
@@kathyeubanks5524 - An eerie feeling as you walk through the back hallways like you're being watched but not by a CCTV camera but by human eyes. There is a Haunted Chicago tour that does the rounds there.
Keep up the hard work jordan i love your videos and jah is a ham lol😂 i never miss a vlogg. I grew up there so ive been to alote of places there so i love watching you take me back to those places. This is a sad video unlike most of ur vlogs are happy happy 😊
I'm so glad you vlogged this hotel. It gave me a VERY oppressive feeling. I don't really believe in ESP or mediums, but this bldg was oozing with dread. Never felt that before.
I used to stay in a couple of dives in Portland that were not clean, but were dirt cheap. One week I stayed there in the dumpy motel. Before I checked out I accidentally got blue mascara on the sheet. The next week when I checked back in, I got the same room. When I pulled the covers back to go to bed, I saw the same blue mascara that I accidentally got on the sheets from the week before. In other words, they were not changing the sheets inbetween customers!
I’ve seen a number of people do paranormal investigations in this hotel. They just let these guys do their thing. I don’t know if they changed their policy but I’ve seen a lot of people doing episodes about Elisa Lam. I would like to see a real investigation into what happened to her.
Home sweet home.I was 11 years old in 1979 (thinking smashing pumpkins)and this place became my home, on and off for 6 months. It was this place or the streets for me.Haunted? yep, saw some strange things.
My twin and I and two of our friends just casually walked in and were able to get all the way up to the door where Elisa Lam exited out of to the roof. I was only able to snapchat most of it so i’ve never uploaded footage but i may since i didn’t realize just how hard it is to get past the front.
also it most definitely was an inside job as there is alarms among cameras and whatnot all by the stairwell and the signs you can tell have been there awhile and aren’t there just because of the incident and also it’s absolutely no where anyone would go out of free will-it’s a beyond creepy looking stairwell even minus the backstories.
The next time you are in Joshua Tree, CA, please do a story on Gram Parsons and visit the motel room, where he died. I have always loved his style of music. He had a golden voice. He recorded with Emmy Lou Harris. If you have already done one, let me know and I will look it up.
Just wanted to let you know. Other vloggers have gotten permission from the security guard to walk through it. They went up to the top floor {14th} and went to the room Richard Ramirez { night stalker} stayed in. It was the only room that was unlocked. The guard also let them go up on the rooftop to see the water tank where the girl was found.
Did you tell the story about the lady who jumped off the roof and landed on another person, killing them both? That place should have been shut down long ago.
I thought this was abandoned hotel from afar , this hotel looks creepy , bad vibes , super sketchy .. now thank moving along .. the weirdest thing 3 woman suicide and fell on the same marquise ?? Yeah it’s haunted or someone has inside job that year .
I have just watched a few youtube documentaries and I agree its more like people want to be part of the story of the hotel, one with his vsp, voicebox, and he talks about his go pro every two seconds, and he filmed himself at night, and its like all the ghosts were in his room talking. So much activity only he can hear and see. trying to make a bigger story and he comes across as fake. thats why i dont follow any voggers but you, your down to earth , real and dont try to build a story were there isnt a story, straight to the point with the Lion x
Very interesting video, nice job Jordan. I personally think when you have a place full of people down on their luck. Is it really surprising that there are many tales of woe including suicides and murder? Surely this isn't isolated what is different is peoples stories have become known for a variety of reasons. Say there is hotel cecil and hotel buona fortuna nearly the exact same things happen at both. Except the fortuna is able to keep their problems largely under wraps. So is one haunted and the other isn't because people don't know what happened there. Then consciously or unconsciously their brain creates an experience as a result.
I stayed at the Cecil one humid Summer night in July 1995. I think it was $12 or $17. That was before the remodel. The halls and walls and rooms and doors were all painted white nothing else. No decorations just old bare light bulbs every ten feet or so along the celing. The rooms had no bathrooms. The rooms had old style white porciline octagon tile. Bathrooms were at the ends of the hallways. The entire area on 7th street was drugs, homeless and used up cast aside prostitutes that were on their last legs. I parked my 1966 VW behind the Hotel in the parking lot for the night. All of the old hotels on the row were unaltered from the old days. One of the most uneasy nights of my life was at the Hotel Cecil. I wasn't alone in that room. And yes, I was up to no good.
I am surprised that you did not try to stay over night in the Cecil Jordan to see if it is actually haunted or not. LOL I am joking with you about that. I am sure it would have been a interesting vlog to watch.
Hi, Jordan! I'm really new to your channel and am loving it so far. What do you do for a living? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, just curious.
No way in hell Elisa Lam got herself up on that roof and threw herself in that tank. No way. I get the feeling it was a sexually motivated crime and at least 2 people involved.
