Who knows how bad their fight was, it coulda been really small but really upset her. Or who knows maybe the boyfriend is a super mild dude yknow.

And she called her cop friend in another town before the bf? Seems shady imo 🤔

Sometimes, some people really benefit from a little time-out when they're beginning to get cranky on people, or if people are getting cranky at them. Anxiety disorders will trump all logic, & a lot of very traumatized or stressed people will need to leave to gather their thoughts if they have no other healthy coping skill to apply to a situation. My ex is a good person, but when i say the guy was unhinged- in the nicest way possible, i mean that the kindest thing he ever did for either of us was leave after beginning to snap at me... he was the nicest guy through his whole personality, but there would be instances where weird small things would get him very upset and put him very out of character. His fight or flight could be totally whipped open by the slightest breeze in intimate relationships, but it took storm winds to close it. There wasn't a thing i could do right to shut down the impulsive panic for him. His counselor told him to leave until he was totally calm again & keep track of what triggered it for therapy. I was always very supportive of him leaving after something mildly douchey. Knowing the pattern and the reasons, i would have been a POS to demand he stays there and gets increasingly irrational, breaks stuff, and turns a personal problem into a huge scar on the face of a good relationship. It was never my fault he'd feel like that, but nobody should insist a person stays somewhere if it's unhealthy for them. Why would I want that, if i could just remind him that I love him & to please be safe as he figures things out to come back & talk after the panic reserves ran dry? And that's my PSA to all American people having kids right now, to remind y'all to not teach your kids from early childhood on that BS "showing emotion is weak / not manly". Let kids have feelings other than happy and all smiles... That crap is why there are so many men and women out there who can't even digest or recognize their own fear or sadness. Let boys cry, don't teach them to punch walls & crap like that when they're frustrated. That sets those little kids up for unnecessarily complicated, totally avoidable issues that stop too many ppl from being able to understand and fix their core issues.
