Parents not believing their children's frightening or dangerous experiences seems to be a common theme and pisses me off! Good parents tell their children "you can tell me anything" and " I will protect you!" Don't promise if you don't mean it. Kids in these stories are lucky to be alive, and the parents don't know how blessed they are to have them!

I feel you on that usually parents chalk it up to the children's imagination or just them trying to get attention when in reality the kids have just experienced or are experiencing something very traumatic for them. It's sad how many parents don't actually believe their kids when frightening or dangerous things happen to them. If they aren't gonna keep their promises of protecting them or being able to be talked to then they shouldn't promise that to begin with being a good parent goes into more than just saying the "right things".

@@gozen6765 Actually, murder is an extreme way to take revenge. Most people would probably rather spread lies about you or try to get you fired. Like, you seldom hear of a family who lost a loved-one to a murderer go out and murder that individual for revenge. Bcuz then they'll end up doing the time the murderer should have done. Bcuz now they are a murderer too. Most murders happen due to a perceived personal gain. Like a life insurance policy to a disgruntled partner. Or removing someone from the equation that puts them closer to their promotion or love desire. Not that revenge can't be seen as personal gain, tho... Unfortunately, people can be pretty extreme...

I just now remembered this. Back story; I lived in New York from the years 1986 to 2001. I moved for reasons you can probably figure out on your own. I moved to my grandma's house in East Texas. I didn't really believe in ghosts until this happened. My grandma's house is surrounded by huge pine trees accept for the front. A road and a small field on the other side of the road bordered by more trees. It was late evening, I was in the back yard smoking. I felt something strange. I walked to the front of the house and, in the field, I saw a large black figure standing there, staring at me. I moved two steps forward and the thing vanished in a burst of glittering light. I stood there confused and dazed. I still live in the house today. I never saw it again.

Pretty sure my SO went to the same high school with the hazing rituals. After he graduated there was a big story about it. He also said he was also one of the ones who heavily suspected a female teacher was sleeping with students. When she got fired all that was confirmed.

The graveyard ghost story has me feeling so sad. Imagining how many times shes begged these strangers for help, maybe not realizing shes dead, only to be trapped in the graveyard until shes put to rest has to be TORTURE. Been to the Casa Grande domes plenty of times every time when would get there you can just feel someone watching you.. we also seen a big man figure on top of the middle dome we had a video and the first time listening to it you can hear some sort of person whispering but when we tried watching it again we didn’t hear anything we would go late night past midnight too.

The school story is very common in small towns and was extremely prevalent in mine. The reason being small town schools basically thrive and revolve around sports and good name. If anything tarnishes the name or threatens grants they sweep it under the rug. My HS would allow a high-level football player to stay with the coaches and avoid both jail and disciplinary action for having drugs on Campus as well as fighting. In the span of 4 years we made national headlines 3 times because things like this got leaked. I'm glad I graduated when I did. I heard its even worse years later.
