I grew up in a haunted house and have had some terrifying expirences there. When I moved out for college, the paranormal experiences got worse and eventually everything came to a head. It took me too long to understand what was happening was paranormal. I made a few videos about it on my channel if anyone's interested.

Here’s a story that happened a year ago when I was 14 years old and it was sometime in November break.. If my parents never installed cameras I would’ve been taken... My parents installed camera and one was on the highest shelf by the Porch window that was stalking down to see the living room television. The kitchen. My mom and step dads door and then the front door, then a slightly darkened hole which was where the hallway to my brothers bedroom (I use it when he’s gone) and my step sister’s room was at. It was currently close to 11pm. And my mom. Step dad. Step Sister we’re all out going to get dinner after they watched my step little brothers jujitsu competition And I was relaxing and watching a favorite RU-vidr of mine.. I had chips on the side of me. The bag was ripped open a bit to the point it spilled onto the table. Idk what was in my house but I felt a strange feeling of someone watching me like they were right behind me.. Later on you’ll see why I was correct I pick up a chip that fell off the table and as soon as I bend over to my side.. I see someone behind me but it didn’t look like a human it looked like a tall skinny shadow figure. I swift up and to look at it and it was gone.. I felt more fear then I ever have ever since when I was 8 and I had a nighttare (night tare is a dream that looks insanely real and you can feel things touch you. It’s not just a random night mare it’s normally targeted to someone you love) I also felt with sleep paralyzes.. the fear slid down my spine and I went back to watching my RU-vidr play until dawn. I just thought it was my mind playing with me since it was a horror game and I get scared easily.. but I shook it off and continued watching the video until few minutes later I heard someones phone go off and it was a old phone ringtone like one of those plug in phone ringtones.. I went to get up and checked every room. My brothers. My step sisters. My mom and step dads.. but there was no phone going off. My phone was on silent so.. how would the sound be hearable?.. I sat back down freaked out and shaking in fear.. so I went and turned the lights on and locked the porch door. The front door. And locked any windows that we had in the house.. afterwards I felt a squeeze knife stabbing pain on my right arm. I jumped up. Ran into my bathroom which had no windows.. and locked myself in there.. I called the cops and they came after 15 minutes went by.. I heard high pitch little girl voice sobbing coming from behind the bathroom door.. as soon as the police came and got the door to unlock from my best friends key. They rushed in and found no one in the house and my best friend ran over and found me in the bathroom sobbing with my right arm having a huge red hand print on my arm with bloody nail scratch marks.. one of the police officers told me that there was no one to be found and they checked the hand print and found no finger prints.. the next day I remembered that we had cameras… so I checked the camera and saw a skinny small black toddler shadow figure that was standing on the right side of me with their hand on my arm with their mouth dropped down to their chin with tears dripping from its face… although their eyes were pure black.. ever since I have been living with my dad near my old cross Timbers church.. a year later I never had that experience with whatever or whoever that thing was… again.. Please get a camera and put it in your house or outside JUST get a camera so that the same thing doesn’t happen to you..

To the person in the last story - don't try to smudge your house with sage! Not only is that practice part of a closed belief system, meaning that you very likely wouldn't know how to do it properly (plus, you know, cultural appropriation and all that), but I've heard a fair number of stories where people tried to do this and ended up making things worse. My advice: Try asking a priest to bless your home, especially in that creepy room. DO NOT try to make contact, especially with a ouija board (again, I've heard stories of this making things worse). Also, maybe consider contacting the police about what you found - ghost or no ghost, that was potentially a crime scene, and there could be a victim that needs justice.
