Every time I listen to Flatline, I get that intense feeling of dread and hopelessness. And when a song can do that to such a level, you know it's good. Excellent work, Scattle!
Never have I ever felt cooler than driving to this Plus, this album really made the game for me; these songs were so 'immersive'. The piece would either be very in tune with the level itself, or really evoke whatever emotion it wanted to. Absolutely amazing
I've always have had this fictional story play out in my head that would go along with To The Top every time I hear it. It's basically if this hacker was infiltrating a big corporate building to get to the server room in like a typical heist movie like oceans 11 or something. It starts off with a long take. The camera's at the front of the building, outside low to the ground so you only see people's legs. People are walking down the sidewalk to get to their jobs and such. 10:28 then the music kicks in, the first note is timed along with someone's business shoes walking into center frame, stopping for a second before turning and starting to walk into the building. As the camera pans up it shows that it's our disguised hacker walking in. 10:43 When the music kicks in a bit is timed right after the hacker manages to get past initial security with his keycard and speak into his little radio "I made it in" as he continued walking. Everything between this timestamp and the next is just him getting directions to get to the server room. 11:12 The server room's just around the corner, as the hacker approaches he has to turn back around the corner quickly and peak out as two guards are standing guard in front of it. This lull in the music is the time in which the hacker is told that the guards will be swapping posts here soon and that he only has a couple seconds to get in undetected and the hacker waiting for the time to move. 11:25 The drums are the guards leaving, and the drop is timed with the hacker picking his stuff up quickly and moving into the server room. Then cutting to him on a laptop and the cliche "Im in". It'd then cut to when the next guards would be changing posts and showing the hacker emerging from the room when given the signal from the person in his ear. The rest of the song would be the hacker trying to make his way back out but would have to stop and act like a worker a couple times to some people passing by asking him questions up until the end. 12:20 This small portion of the ending along with the ending drums would go along with the camera showing the back of the escape van driving away from the building, mission successful. Edit: The small part in the beginning of the extended cut that plays just the beat can just be played as people are walking by normally, then when the first note hits is still timed with the hacker's shoes walking into frame. The extended drums on the end of the song can also just be used for the van driving away as well.
Just realised you might be my fav artist featured in the series, i don't like inner animal or to the top but the others fit well with anything that i think of putting them into Remorse though...Man All of them i vibe too like a cocaine addict but that 1 song, idk what happened or how it happened but please do it again lol Do whatever you feel like actually, not that i keep up with this stuff, idk i'm too stupid and lazy, all your songs are great i'm sure Remorse is way too exceptional for me, i don't think its vibe will ever be re-captured in my lifetime, in other genres it might be (That's The Way It Is from Red Dead Redemption 2) It's inspiring even Reminds me of a comment i read of someone describing the sequel saying how amongst all that chaos, the game's like comforting and understanding on top of punishing, instead of asking and mocking the player for enjoying all the violence, anyway i'm going way off topic ok bye ty for all the art you've blessed us with it makes life a little more tolerable
