@JonathanMyersDrives Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I can't wait to go racing. I just wish it wasn't a 2+ hour drive each way from Long Island. They closed all the racing tracks other than Riverhead Raceway, but that's just a small oval. Anyway, thanks again and good luck out there :)

@JonathanMyersDrives Hey, I just wanted to say great video! This looks like a lot of fun. I'm planning on taking my C6 down to NJ & Pennsylvania to some of the road racing tracks in the next month or so. As of now, I've only raced my vette down the 1/4 mile strip. I've been to racing school (Skip Barber) three times now, and I used to race go karts back in the day. Anyway, I was wondering what the HP/TQ and weight of your corvette is in this video? Nice driving by the way.

Thanks for the comments. For the SCCA T1 class and a C5 Corvette, I'm allowed to weigh no less than 3180 (with driver and gas) at the END of the race. I have about 378 hp at the wheels. I think, but am not sure, that C6 Corvettes are allowed about 40 more horsepower and required to weight about 3500 lbs. The SCCA club racing site has the GCR posted as a PDF that lays all this out. I have a limited understanding of the SCCA class rules and NASCAR type cars. The cars that were in my group that were similar in appearance to NASCAR cars were not actually internally full NASCAR. The GT1 and SPO cars that you saw ahead of me in this video are tube frame race cars with fiberglass "fake" bodies, but aren't actually fully consistent in engine and build with NASCAR regs, I believe. That being said, I don't know whether a NASCAR car could race in some SCCA classes.

Yes, they can,, Their is a former Craftsman truck that also runs Jersey, way out of control. Most NASCAR dars are ARCA cars though..
