I've seen *many times* a driver who makes the mistake of knocking the other driver out of shape let off, and let them regain their position. I don't know anything about the 2 drivers, but it was a jackass move. If he wants to win like that, go drive indoor kart tracks.
@@chipattack912this was a classic dive bomb. Aquilante had already turned in before Bender had any part of his car alongside. Bender had no right to any room.
Yeah and all winter to do it considering it’s the last lap of The Runoffs. Hardly a big deal, especially when you have Aquilante money. Do you guys care at all that the SCCA has faded into irrelevance?
Interesting that the complaint from Aqualanti is that Bender is a pro driver. Yet the first thing on Michael his mouth is thinking all the money money money big sponsors like Penske Hoosier etc. they put money into his families enterprise which is beating up on amateur drivers. His car has all kinds of ABS, traction control and many other driver aids. Bender really drove a car with no such driver aids. Truly a race car driven by a great talented driver is Bender. Plus the commentators mentioned many times that Aquakanti hit people and shoved Porsches and hit lapped cars. Keep in mind the Aquilanti family has got huge political clout in the SCCA. They have to pay back to the sponsors tha, for decades, dump money into Aquilanti enterprises. Bender It’s not an offender. He is a self supporting true amateur racer and a talented one. He is truly the winner of the race in the minds of all racers. The SCCA let the “tail wag the dog” in demoting the winner, Bender
So bender got passed 2 times and was left plenty of room. Then passes him back by driving into his door at the APEX of a corner when he was trailing and he is the winner? I am sure no issues would have been had if he had passed him cleanly. It is club racing and driving into someone to pass them is stupid.
@@PatrickLipsinic 100%. my buddy who was there informed me bender got a 2 place penalty which was deserved. People that don't know anything about racing that think dive bombing people in corners is okay.
Should he have put two wheels in the grass, like Bender did? The TA2 car simply bombed in there and went two wheels over the curb, lost grip and bounced off of the Vette. Not a clean move at all.
