if your plan is to do driving leisure with very rich ppl(to have them feel like they are actually using their supercars), you go in the Alps in the middle of summer; if you plan to drive the h.ell of whatever car you own, you go early June or late September(early October); going mid-summer for driving in the Alps, and hoping for empty roads is like going to Ibiza or Marbella on mid summer and hoping for empty beaches and not crowded night-clubs. Don't want to be mean..but, ffs, mid-summer drives in the Alps...full throttle...50 seconds maximum on a day's drive; In june, at 5 or 6 in the morning, the passes are empty...and also at 6-7-8 in the evening...in either variant I meet 4 cars in total...so full throttle for extensive periods both up-hill and down-hill. I understand rich ppl prefer mid-summer periods because that's more convenient(holiday period, good weather, etc-etc) but, for real driving, it is not the best option. Saying "I drove in the Alps for a week this past summer" sounds 'board members meeting garden party' correct 😁 so, yeah, there's that to consider. also, seeing the cars participating on the tour makes me think none of the participants are true petrolheads or real driving enthusiasts...as all the cars seem choices for those who want to look like driving connoisseurs without actually being as such(more show, less go). edit. also, please guys, stop speeding up the video parts on hairpins.. it looks.. well, not a nice thing to do.
