+SH Lee Well you play very well indeed. I also discovered that you are an amazing pianist as well as excellent violinist. I liked the Prelude by Rachmaninoff. (My iPad didn't allow me to make a comment on that). So you play 1st violin in the NJYS Philharmonica? And you play the trumpet in the schoolband, at least it looked like you in the back? The best for your musical future from Sweden!
I have to do this for my solo ensemble :( Edit: it’s in a month and I still can’t count Edit 2: I am now practicing while listening to the piano, it’s working :D Edit 3: I tried playing along the whole song but couldn’t so I turned it to 0.75 speed. It’s still hard 😩 Edit 4: I realized my counting is pretty on point 😁
Hi there! This is SUPER late, but if you're still looking for tips: Take it in chunks. Especially for runs, do that 1-2 measures again. And then again. And then again. Take as slow as you need at first, then as your muscle memory kicks in, you'll be able to go faster. Sectionalized repetition helps me for fast pieces in general. Hope this helps!
Most of the fast stuff is scale runs, just make sure you have your scales practiced at all times and you’ll really never have much trouble with scale runs again.
