HI EVERYONE: I wanted a song to highlight the pressure society puts on women and how much it affects our mental health and how we view ourselves. For the longest period of my life I felt like in order to be successful in music I had to take up less space. I had to be softer, smaller, more likable. This song was written when I had fully succumbed to those pressures and my mental health was at its lowest. I spent every day just trying to smile and look pretty. I felt like nobody would understand the pain I felt until it was too late. The release of this song and video is me finally breaking out of that headspace and the start of what I hope to be an extremely empowering era for women in rock. I wrote this song in the height of my eating disorder, but shot the video in full recovery:)

This shit goes hard. At first it sounded like Melanie Martinez which isnt bad just not my style, but the chorus. That chorus slapped me in the face like a Poppy song. Its like I got slapped by a freight train barreling 100 miles an hour! I am going to spam the shit out of this and recommend this to Octane and get this on the radio. This song is just *chefs kiss* I can't wait for more music, albums and maybe shows when you get there. Keep this up, great work!

This is a great song. I like the clash of innocent princess mixed with dark content observed in the imagery, the instrumentation and your dynamic vocals/effects. Maybe it's just me, but music videos rarely seem to capture the same vibes of the music. This is not the case with this song and vid. Can't wait for more music and content. Thank you, Scene Queen. Also, congrats on conquering your eating disorder! I hope this song is the beginning of better things to come.

I relate to ur story so much. pink and black being my fave colors, growing up i was always excluded from the metalheads and rockers cuz i was too cutesy and stuff. I also suffer of disordered eating patterns and self image problem. And here i feel seen. This is what it is like inside my mind on the worst of days and I'm here for it. I love this and i love you. I found you by accident a few weeks ago. I was searching for a particular cover of the 80s song Pretty In Pink, and I found this instead. Needless to say, Bimbcore and Bimbcore Vol. 2 have become almost nonstop listens for me since. Far better than the Pretty in Pink cover I was originally looking for!
