Absolutely. We realize the Gospel is a blessing to many, and an offense to many. Our responsibility is to use our channel to glorify God, and if people get offended, then at least they've heard the truth. We don't want anyone offended, but we will not water down what is right. That's how we do it, camping in style. We do eat good. I agree with you on those seasonings and marinades, leaving them at home is rough. We used to tent camp but to cold in leaf peep season. Love our RV, comfy and cozy with a self contained bathroom. No dumping soap and water in Elkmont Campground, a big no no, surprised Cades Cove allows it? 😮, can't leave any water out either. We visit that store get lunch and picnic in The Cove. Happy Camping 😊
They've never said a word to us, having our shower structure there for well over 20 years. We also use biodegradable camp soap. There are several other campers as well, that also have their own shower structures. I've never seen anybody have anything said to them. And yes, tent camping can be rather cold that time of year. We generally have the tent packed up by that time. We've done it once in October, and it was cold at night.
My family spent vacations in the smokies and I love watching videos from there. My husband and I watch every night if we can. When you end a video talking about our lord and savior it is soothing. Thank you for sharing.
"There must not be much on TV" is a very true statement. Did you know that in August RU-vid was the most watched TV channel(s)? RU-vid is interesting - it has folks such as yourself highlighting some interesting activities such as this camping trip. Could you imagine the mess that a traditional TV network would make of your camping trip? There is this obsessive need to quickly cut everything down to a 15 second sound byte. In the same vein I love watching RU-vid cooking shows - nowadays a network will distill a complex dish down to 1 minute before breaking for a commercial. A RU-vidr might spend 3 hours if necessary baking cookies complete with flaws and errors and possibly even ending up with burnt cookies but it's a much more satisfying experience to the viewer than a canned cooking segment on network TV. Keep doing what your doing. It is interesting and fun and entertaining and much better than anything on traditional Network TV.

Once again an AMAZING video. We are among those that watch your videos (nearly) every day - some days we just have soooo much going on!!! I need to be honest however, we watch/follow several others (Fridays Forever, J&B In The Hills, Moss Family TV Smoky Mountain Family...etc BUT you guys are our favorite!!! (and YES there is very little worth watching on tv - except the SEC channel - we're UK grads!!!!!). You and I need to get together - I'm a retired pastor.

Thank you for watching. It is our favorite campground, and we camp here every Labor Day weekend. The great camp store that is there, plus easy access to the Cove, is what makes camping here so special.
One more thing, we just love old forgotten cemeteries. It creeps some people out, but we like the history. There is one up in Manorville, Pennsylvania where we used to go camping at Skinner's Falls on the upper Delaware River. Deep in the woods there is a forgotten cemetery with headstones dating back to the early 1800's. Some are so old, you can't even read them anymore. It really makes the mind wonder how rough (and simple) life was back then. Anyway, thanks for this video.

We had a little boy come to our site. Him and his older brother went to bathroom and brother left him. My husband took him to find mom and mom was looking for him. Thank the Lord all the people we have met there seem like good people. Love y’all

The name of it is "Cades Cove As It Was", and it was co-authored by Delorse Abbott Coada and Judy Abbott Hill. Several people have asked us about how to buy it, and after being unable to find it online, we contacted Mr. Ledbetter. He told us he believes the book to be out of print, unfortunately. I do hope you are able to find it, but we have not been able to. Had he not brought us this copy, we would not have known it existed. There are many other books about the history of Cades Cove, that are still available. One of those that we have, is "The Cades Cove Story", by Arthur Randolph Shields. It is a very good book, but doesn't have as many detailed pictures of the home places as the one Mr. Ledbetter gave us. But I know for certain, that one is still available.

Love yall and your channel. Just an idea for an auxiliary hose to fill your 5 gal bucket. You can get a washing machine hook up hose from Lowes, etc. It is short and has a female threaded fitting on each end. Sometimes sold in pairs and can cut em in two and have 4 auxiliary hoses to share with friends. See ya in the next video 😊
P.S. I camped in C.C.C. 50 years ago on a motorcycle with a pup tent and a sleeping bag Sunday night thru Thursday night. I met some of the nicest people and enjoyed the mountains & Gatlinburg. I vacation there every chance I get 😁

Thank you very much for the fire side chat at the end of this video. You and I share the same view on Calvinism, I can't and won't follow it. I like to fall back on John 14:6 and then over to John 17:17.
We agree. Calvinism is one of those things that really gets to me, because of the implications of its teaching...That Christ didn't die for all, and that God wants most to be lost. I will never believe that. I actually wasn't even planning on saying all that about Calvinism, and even asked Shawnasi if I should edit those remarks out, as I am sure we have some viewers who hold to it. We ultimately decided to leave them in. Not in a desire to offend anyone, but simply so that people who watch, will know that salvation is for them, as much as anyone else.
