Just be greatful that you live in a time where people can use sience (DNA, recordings,...) as proof of guilt. It's scary, how many *horrible* things were considert "normal" in the past because of fear, boredom and lack of understanding
believe it or not, executioners were a very respected part of society in the middle ages , and each one carried a reputation for what they were particularly skilled at. often some of the best paid and best taken care of by the local authorities due to their importance in keeping society in check.
Guys i’ve actually had a chance to watch the entire thing and RIGHT after this scene, when he’s about to start torturing her, she transforms into her witch/guardian form with the heart of candrakar and burns the entire room, melting absolutely everything, including that guy and all the tools in just a matter of seconds. Then she catches up with the other girls which already has destroyed everything and everyone else. Irma floods the entire town, and then Hai Lin cools down everything so ut freezes with the cold wind. Will electrocutes everyone who deserved it with quintesense, and cornelia ends it all by making the entire town fall into a gaping hole in the ground:) yay
@@alysiamerdavid-wasser9165 Hollywood only thinks that dark-skinned girls are good for comedy and the side chick. You rarely see them in good roles. Viola Davis is one of few.
@@alysiamerdavid-wasser9165 I had listened to a podcast that it's not known exactly what her ethic background was. But, the English were enslaving indigenous people as well. It's simply that by the time that Miller wrote The Crucible, "slave" in colonial America meant Black.
At the end of the medieval period in England there was a massive sale. By the middle of the 17th Century England had stopped using these as forms of torture. My guess is they were brought to the new world by migrants, or left their by the first settlers.
Nat Allison the point of the show is the witches are doing a ritual that requires the shedding of innocent blood. Basiclly they are tricking people into killing none witches
Wouldn't have needed all that hardware if electricity had been available; electrodes connected to the more sensitive parts of the body can work wonders
@@Dalatiidae its even better then when you get tortured for something. At least you know for what and how to avoid it. In SM with unknown and real sadist you get tortured just for a process.
@@user-distantstar BDSM is a kink thing, people get off on it. The scene is from the show Salem. Increase is torturing Tituba because he wanted to know if there were other witches in Salem. There was no aftercare, no safewords, no limits or anything. Its torture, not BDSM.
@@Dalatiidae , I have met one true sadist online recently, going to visit her after pandemic restrictions but somehow I'm afraid she will kill me or at least mutilate me with her needles and tramping on high heels on me eventually ( she wants to make mummification with me and leave me motionless and i have no clue what gonna happen next. It goes without saying that she is twisted and I'm doomed. I can't not to go or everybody including my wife might think that I'm a coward.
In that time, there was no Constitution, no Bill of Rights, no 1st Amendment right of freedom of religion. Now, today, 01/02/2021@10:29CST, I ask you, dear Reader, would you commit or condone such actions taken upon American citizens, because they profess something different than the christian faith? Would you trample upon their 1stt Amendment Rights, to further your's??
you have not been in america recently now have you? it is getting to be rather the opposite situation now. a better questioin is, would you trample the first amendments rights just because someone professes their christian faith? that is where we are getting in america now. christians are persecuted more and more for their beliefs. don't believe me? go down a road in america and say " Jesus loves you, there are only two genders because God made them Male and female" you will see what i mean.
