Surrey, without a doubt, was the best place I lived in the lower mainland. I liked it's quiet urban/suburban feel. I recognize so many places. Miss it.
It's kind of nice but he's driving really between the two big mall areas (City Central and Guildford), there's SOOO much more to Surrey than that and so much more scenic areas.
If the point is to show that construction is happening, this video did it. If it was to show Surrey as a whole, well, the whole part is missing and where's the scenic mountain views?
Enjoyable ride , I like it , Gasoline 153 ,,, Edmonton 126 and best price at Costco 112 exploring the beautiful Surrey, British Columbia - Canada, wonderful video, have a nice day ,Tom ( Alberta )
Video is clear & weather seems to be excellent. I watched for about 10min. Will watch the rest after you replace the music with voice to name the places you are passing. Otherwise there is no way of knowing your route.
The Pottelo Bridge is ready to fall in the river at anytime, the sky train is an antique and the Port Mann Bridge was a bad idea, didn't fix anything just maid it looks new.
Highlights.... 17:11 near miss. Watch the silver car. 34:00 failure to maintain lane, illegal U-turn. 41:50 failure to come to a complete stop. 42:10 failure to come to a complete stop. 51:00 typical Surrey lane change, no signals 51:40 failure to maintain lane, crossing painted meridian. 52:45 over posted speed limit, 59 in a 50 zone. Well done! Welcome to Surrey. You can now move here anytime. You'll fit right in.
it looks ok now at 10:30am on a sunday, but just wait till all those council approved condo towers are built. each tower adding 250 cars to the neighborhood. it'll take you 40 minutes to go from city hall to gateway station.
It only took a Pandemic to make Surrey look nice. 75% less traffic. 90% less people on the streets. Image stabilization to smooth out the poorly maintained roads. Classical music replaces car horns and sirens. No begging at intersections due to Covid. No spitting on windshields when you don't have money for them. Driving around on a sunny day in May with the heat on because it's 53F / 12c.
