Thank you for making this video, I know it was 2 years ago and I am now just seeing this. However, I used to live in Aspen and would take this route so much throughout my childhood and further years. I have since moved but just your video brought back tons of old memories and amazing scenery that really got to me, it's been a while since I thought of that place. I miss it. But thank you for again reminding me of the Joy of Colorado.

This is a amazing drive. I took it in September was about 2 weeks to soon to see the changing of the leaves. There is always next year though.

I love this video! I have family traveling this Hwy right now but on snowy roads. This gives me an idea of the travel there. Such beautiful scenery! And your music is a perfect fit!

We will be travelling from Black hawk to Aspen during last week of December. Will it be safe to drive during that season or you suggest any other way of travelling?

Hello, its independence pass , 1-70 west to gleenwood springs, then highway 82 south to aspen. Have a happy trip..

thank you for posting this, if doing just a day trip, do we need to go all the way to aspen? how far of a drive would you say or where to turn around to go back to Denver?

We did day trip, travel time is 3.5 hrs .. one way from Denver to Aspen. We left at 7 am, Aspen is nice to visit

Hi I need honest advice how safe is the drive from Chicaho to Aspen? Is there a way to avoid independence pass or any other extremely narrow roads? Please let me know thanks

Im not sure from chicago , but when you get to Denver -Aspen,its pretty nice and safe, the only way to get there is by independence pass as far as i know.

@@yiv16 Depends. You can always take 70 to Glenwood Springs, then drive the 40 minutes to Aspen from there. Independence Pass is a nice view, but its actually closed during the winter due to snow (Nov-April) - so depending on the time of year, you might have no choice which direction to go.
