I can't forget the day I smelled Amarige for the first time. To me it was the scent of HAPPINESS. I remember a beautiful smiling model advertising this fragrance, she wore a yellow dress and looked very happy. In my opinion, Macron's wife Brigitte is ideal for this perfume.
I walked out my door a few hours ago to find Lily of the Valley in bloom. So happy to see it! I live in senior housing and don't know how it got there. Last week I spotted the sweetest violas.
@@thefragrantician That's a lovely thought. It is my favorite note in fragrance, and my mom's birth flower. On May 27th she would have been 99 years old. Today my dad would have been 102. They both lived long lives though the final years weren't great for either. I did my best for them. I know this, and can confidently lay my head down at night.

Very interesting theme Gabbi! Love it!!! I have always loved Samsara! It was my signature scent before Angel! I own a vintage eau de toilette - which I rarely use in fear of running out and a bee bottle eau de parfum . ❤❤❤
Amarige commands respect! It’s such a bombastic scent still to this day. It packs a punch. Mine is also a newer formulation. I also wonder what vintage Amarige was like. I have a bottle of Ysatis from the 90s and it’s absolutely nuclear. I imagine Amarige used to be the same. That’s not to say that the current formula isn’t beast-mode.

I would definitely choose Chanel Cristalle. Classy. Reserved. Self assured. And a little bitchy. I would also choose Frederic Malle Iris Poudre. Elegant. Arrogant. Quietly running the show. And finally, Elizabeth Arden Red Door. A smile that’s perhaps too wide, too bright, despite the uncomfortable shoes, the husband flirting with the reporter, and the itchy wool tweed jacket. A perfume that shouts over all minor chords of misery.
My mother was ever the classy lady. Five children in tow she could go to a barbecue dressed in white and a spot would not dare land on her person. She wore Caron but I don’t know what scent. It was heavily carnation with cool spices. I would love to find it.
I can’t stand Insolence either. I agree that it’s nothing like Bvlgari or any other Sophia Grojsman masterpiece. Samsara is another masterpiece! Sadly, I’ve used mine up. I had the bee bottle version like you.
I can't stomach Insolence too. Bvlgari Pour Femme sounds lovely. I love Amarige, I wear the vintage. I liked Bvlgari Rose Essentielle (2006), a juicy ultra-feminine Rose. Jasmin Noir was also perfection. Fracas oh yes now that's my scent.🖤
Barbara Bush would ware J'Adore! She was super smiley and positive and seemingly well liked. We are quite divided here in the states with Republican and Democratics. I love your picks for politician’s wives and the opening music and graphics for the video Gabi! Imelda Marcos, former First Lady of the Philippines (who was known for her collection of over 3,000 shoes) she once bought up her favorite perfume from all duty frees racks across the world, simply so that no-one else would smell like her. 😂 Sadly I don’t know what her signature scent was!

Well thank you!,its all powder colours I use black liquid eyeliner sometimes but here I just used a pallete from kiko called cult colours. I lined with the black then wet it and applied eye shadow powder.Thank you for your kind words 🥰

I don’t care for Insolence either. I just didn’t get it. Amarige was amazing when it first came out. I haven’t smelled the newer editions. I’d choose Azuree by Estée Lauder as well.
I vote Gabi! 🙂 Love Aura! Definitely better and shines on skin. It's a little sweet, powdery and musky on me. The slight green note balances it all so well. I don't have Amarige yet, but it's such a pretty fresh floral. I think it's timeless and classic. 😊
