16:49 “There’s so many things you can do…I don’t know…ask your bestie.” Also, given the anti mlm community I don’t know that she should be encouraging people to go on Google and search scentsy training. 😂
And here's the kicker - the "systems" DON'T work because they're not meant to work. Nobody makes it higher than a few levels up unless the upline at the very tippy-top of the pyramid want them to. How the high-ups run their "business", and how they tell the people at the bottom to run their "business", are two completely different things. They cherry-pick the ones they see "potential" in (ie money-making potential, easy to manipulate or ruthless/sociopathic like they are) and take them behind the curtain to show them how the business really works. All the rest get the cookie-cutter, bullshit, one-size-fits-all "training" and "systems" to keep them in line and make them feel like they're being taught something (newsflash: they're not)...
5:16 I don’t know how scentsy stays in business at this point. You can get wax melts and beads anywhere. They do have a niche on the Disney warmers but can they really survive on that?
The warmers come with a hefty price tag so I feel like the reps can make a decent amount of commission off of them, but like you said I can't see many living off of that because I doubt people are buying new warmers monthly.
Again, how are you going to build a "business" on selling little smelly things and warmers? I have never bought either one, or known anyone who had them in their house. Amway is shite but at least they have a wide range of products that are in the category of things people use and need.
