Awesome machine you got there. Old mills are the best., i just finish restoring an old Danish Vilh Pedersen mill, 1,3 ton machine.

First; Very Nice. Second, I always wonder why people don't install an idler tension pulley? I would think that a tensioner pulley with eliminate or greatly reduce any vibration from the belt drive system. When your making precision cuts I don't see how it could hurt to eliminate any potential vibrations? Best of luck.

hi, we bought a schaublin 12 yesterday. complete with some accessoires like tilting table, vice, small table, wide table, table for index attachment and powerfeed on the x-axis. we are not sure if we want to restore it like on the video or sell it.

I enjoyed watching the restoration you have done. I especially like the finish. What type of paint did you use? I am in the midst of a lathe rebuild, and am having trouble deciding on a good quality durable finish. Any suggestions?

Most mill spindles I am familiar with have angular contact bearings with lots of preload. From what I saw these radial bearings have some preload also as is demonstrated by the dificulty in assembly.

in 10.40 minutes, what the name of that holder to hold dial indicator? it has t-slot righ. I have been purchase that think in scrap yard in my town, i know the function but i dont know the name of it. it has "M1481-A" on the side body.

Hallo Sehr schön gemacht, gefällt mir gut. Habe nur eine Frage: Wozu werden die Planflächen / Laufflächen mit einem Art Meißel abgeschabt (Beispiel 13:28) ? Davon habe ich keine Ahnung. Bitte um Aufklärung :-)

He scraped this with a woodworking chisel sharpened at 90 degrees? I guess this proves anything in possible. However, IMO the chisel is probably better than an old file!

Очень, очень толстый слой краски на финише, должны быть пятна мелкие а не вся плоскость в краске. Ну и пластинки ВК6ОМ made in USSR не помешают))

Tolle Maschine, tolles Video, aber man muss es leider auf Mute laufen lassen. Die Musik verdirbt sonst alles. Schade!
