Schecter guitars are so damned high quality for the price. I had received a Diamond Series C-1 Plus as a gift around 2005, and I still can't believe how high quality it is. Set neck, body and neck binding, mohagany body, rosewood fretboard, black cherry finish, Grover tuners, body-through strings, perfect weight balancing, special arrow-style inlays . . . all for about $600. Based on my experience with that guitar and the good metal vibes of the company culture, I just ordered another Schecter model due to arrive shortly. Just a great company. I love underdog brands that best major brands in quality. That's so rebel and metal.
It's so interesting to watch Bea because now he is no longer just a guy who helps review other peoples guitars, but is himself kind of a celebrity with his own signature guitars.
i played a CR6 at guitar center the other day and it absolutely blew my mind. it felt like a 1600 dollar guitar but it was only 600. schecter is KILLING IT.
Thank you for taking the time to go through Schecter guitar lineup, show us almost all the models of guitar AND bass (very much appreciated on that!), going through some specs on most of them, components as well as materials. It could have had more complete information, but it was complete enough that it was, so far, the best Schecter video I've seen from NAMM 2020. Seems like you wanted to "wrap it up" at the end. I think the video would have been 100% better, and it was already, like I said, the best for Schecter so far this year, but if you would have had maybe one of the guitars and basses from each series , or instrument family, do a quick cut away to 10 seconds of crunchy chords and maybe 5 to 10 seconds of lead playing ( both on guitars and basses) that's all we really need to get just a taste, a sense of what the tone of these instruments may give us. Can't wait to see the boutique builders , I always like that one from anderton's
Damn man. Schecter has the most awesome looking guitars at name. Sick. I just picked up a syn custom-s. It's the best playing guitar I've ever played. Keep doing your thing.
No brand can beat Schecter's options & quality for the price! Now they are coming stock with Lungren's! Blue & purple EMG's are cool about time they offered more colors just wish they sounded good for me!
Kodiak wild, gotcha. Well I hope that's what he's saying because it would make zero sense to not allow visitors. Since visitors like me have money to give away...!
I was there too, i was bummed considering I’ve played schecter almost exclusively my whole life. Mesa boogie wasn’t even there. And andertons didn’t even have a booth either
I like that "entry level" body shape at the very end. I've seen them around, down in the cheap music store, but pound for pound, I think they serve up a great first or second guitar if you like metal or hard rock. It's a far better offering than Squier or Fender or the low level Ibanez. Though I can't say I've played them, they just look like they'd play well. String-thru , dual humbucker, top carve... Chug/shred on ! 🤟😆🤘
I had Chinese Omen-6, it was as entry level as Schecters get, but it played like butter and decently held tuning even with non-locking tuners. The only weak thing about it were pickups, I struggled to get usable clean tones out of those and gain tone was a bit muddy, but I doubt that any guitar in that price range had better pickups. The only reason why I got rid of that Schecter is that I got another H-H hardail guitar which cost 20x more, plays 20% better and has much better pickups. But for its price that Omen-6 was killer.
I think Schecter has a pretty great line up. I really appreciate the change to 6-inline over the 3x3 on the ultra headstocks. I am unsure about the silver mountain finish, but at least they are trying something different. The T-type in Red Reign is just awesome looking. The one I really want to try in person though is the high end Eric Johnson strat, preferabbly in Atomic Orange (although the Frost and Green are also great colors). I'll never be able to afford it, but I still want to give it a go.
No E-1 love?! What gives, Schecter? You have created an amazing body shape and headstock design. My favorite take on the “explorer” line from any company. I want an evil twin but can’t stand the reverse headstock. I’d grab your fr s special but want a hard tail. Flat black like the evil twin, neck thru, stainless frets, quality nut, apocalypse or fluance pickups, right side up headstock and an evertune would be 👌🏻. Make it and they will come. I’ll be the first in line. P.S. I do own the c-1 apocalypse fr-s red reign and it has become my number one go to out 15 mid to high end guitars. It’s the nicest playing guitar out of the box I’ve ever purchased and the apocalypse pickups are just sonically amazing. No hate I just want to expand my schecter arsenal is all.
@hchoe741 Haha. It’s a sad reality isn’t it? I kinda feel sorry for Gibson. When I was younger they were the only guitars I considered, all my idols played them, now I just find them uninspiring. No Floyd’s, no Hipshot, no evertune, no new designs. Just new Slash reissues and a reissue silver burst with Adam Jones name attatched to it🙄
I wish they showed the Miles Baker sig, it's not as crazy looking but a hot rodded strat in neck-thru form is something that's pretty rare imo. The only other one I've seen is the ESP Alex Wade 7.
Here's hoping there are more videos like this, where you actually get information on known brands for those of who can't be there. Maybe that isn't andertons goal or where there business interests lie. Good job on this one though.
Ricardo Rodríguez Yeah! Only thing is it's active, hard pass for me. They might have a passive version tho. The one i can't wait to see in details is the Paul Wiley sig. 1:00
Nice guitars...I'd like to see one of those pretty custom shops with the entire back and sides covered in colourful tattoo artwork in a satin finish. A "business in the front, party at the back" kind of deal
A classic telly shape - which is the most original solid body guitar shape - with those features (stainless steel frets, Fishmans, neckthru construction, easy access rod, compensated nut, forearm cut, hardtail, vol. knob is not too close to the pickup) is simply amazing!
The Tempest is the Best Les Paul alternative body style there is! All the things that I dislike about the playing experience of a Les Paul are addressed in the Tempest. Give it a satin nitro finish and I'm in to put my money down.
Well crap, this is encouraging yet disappointing. I was just at NAMM and looked all over for the Schecter booth and only found a small display at the back of the hall. I guess the reason for that is that they were appointment only. That really sucks as they were one of the booths i was most looking forward to seeing. I think the Chapman booth had the same deal.
I've thought about getting a left handed Schecter, but idk... Being a Japanese American I'm mainly a ESP/TAKAMINE/IBANEZ guy so I don't know if I'll change xD. Still very nice guitars though :)
