5:13 is such an underrated part. It's so passionate. I swoon everytime.

What a beautiful piece of music

If this is not a pure encounter with the infinite character of our existance and of our soul, I don't know what it is.

I grew up with classical, musical music as my mother had music on when we were very young, and Scheherazade is my mum`s favourite piece of music. She also joined a choir later on, and did local musical productions with Towns Women`s Guild. She wants this for her funeral.

Is this a faster tempo than other versions? This is the tempo I recognise from old records,

I like to think that this music represents the arab/islamic world before crusaders/mongols arrived
