Schengen visa gives you access to all Schengen countries within Europe. I have tried to explain the complete process of schengen visa in this video.
If you are a citizen in a country outside the EU and want to visit Sweden for a maximum of 90 days, you may need to apply for a visa. A visa is only valid for your stay in the Schengen countries for up to 90 days during a period of 180 days.

Was funny how you almost whispered the word DUMMY and then went on to discuss buying an actual ticket, as far as I am aware some countries accept dummy ticket actually, VFS global in Philippines is one i know about.

I dont think that Swedish embassy shall ask for it. Read the documents required for your application - only passport copies were enough. I am not sure if Bangladeshi citizen has additional documents required.

It is based on visa.. in most cases u will get 90 days visa so u might need to have funds for 90days. I would recommend to check with migration agency

I have one questions if for example my sister come visiting me with Schengen visa for 90 days and during her stay in Sweden she gets job offer. Can she extended to residence permit and work permit? Or she must go back to home country to apply residents permit? And when is the best time for her to apply extension? Thank you. ❤

She needs to go back and apply from Home country! It is not permitted to job hunt as well when you are on tourist visa as it defies the purpose of visit! The best option for her is to exit and then apply for work permit! Thanks!

You can apply maximum 6months in advance.. I suggest apply after couple of months..

180 days is total time span u hv to make ur travel plan.. its like window within that u can travel for 90 days

hi sorry it's not clear for me. I am getting more confused! Let's take an example - I want to apply for my parents visa for 1st Jan to 30 March (90 days in Sweden) Can I apply for the single entry visa on 1st July (6 months before the travel date)? considered my parents never traveled to the Schengen area in the past.

Hey... Thanks for the info... We too are in a similar situation... We'd like to invite one of our parents during the pregnancy/delivery period. You told about extension. What are the differences in tourist visa, visitor's visa and visotor's permit? Which one to apply & how for the long term(more than 90 days)? Thank you & Congratulations to you n ur partner ..the basic diff is no of days the person can live in sweden .. incase of tourists visa its 90days.. if u want to invite for longer duration then u can check on Sweden’s migration Agencies webpage n apply from thr.. I know a friend she got 1yrs visitors visa for her mother ( initially it was tourist visa of 90days later on she has applied for extension).. but u can read more details migration agencies website

Hi, I'm planning to Visit Sweden, through Visit Family and Friends visa. A friend of mine is sending me the invite. I have a question that do I need to sumbit a detailed travel plan to vfs embassy, I'm planning to visit for 37 days. Also if a friend is inviting me, should I show the proof of friendship as photos or any other proof is also required ?

Your friend(inviter) should clearly mention on your invitation letter “the number of days” for which he/she is inviting you! The inviter needs to provide so many different documents(which are private and sensitive) so providing a photo proof wont help much in your case! Thanks!
