What Amp+headphones setup would you recommend for a beginner like me? Never used one of these before.😄

Fulla 4, schiit stack… anything that the combo (dac+amp) won’t break 150-200$. Headphones are another story… open and closed back are a good part of the discussion, sound signature, stuff like removable cables etc… Honestly, I’d first grab a “nice” starter headphone, like a pair of SHP9500, pc37x/38x, a pair of 58x, ath m40x, this sort of stuff, and get real “used to” them. After that, then add in an entry dac+amp combo like a Schiit stack, for example. Maybe that’s the best approach to really appreciate the progression! In order of importance: Your music (good quality, I mean) > headphones/speakers/IEM > amp > dac >>>>>>> any other stuff

I am very happy with the quality, sound, feature set and pricing/value of Schiit products 🤦🤦‍♀️🤔 (shit products, that doesn’t sound correct) …. Schiit audio components as a user of both the Magnius & Modius setup 🥰🥳 Great review Gus 🎉👍 cheers 🍻

cant believe theyve made this many magni's before they offered a low enough gain to be ideally used with IEM's. I have a 1st gen stack, Not very ideal for IEM's infact high gain offered more clarity and staging for my IEM's but it was more just a test. Then i got the tube hybrid amp from drop so now i only really use my magni when i roll out to lan parties, or ill put it on my night stand to run with my G8x.

Oh boy…. The Zen Can has the monstruous “special bass button” that’s insane, and I flipping love that thing, but I’d say they’re comparable, honestly. Well, on one side the Zen Can has loooooooads of power, and its fully balanced (pentacon connection, but balanced), and on the other, the IEMagni also has loads of power, its not balanced BUT its got IEM match as an option to drive super sensitive stuff. Depends on your use-case, I think… Oh, and the Zen is $70 more.
