This is one of the first known Schindler 5500 installations in America! It is right outside of Macy's, and it completely replaced a Montgomery/Millenium hydraulic elevator with an Innovation Bruiser slap on mod. I saw it, but I don't think I ever rode it. I think it failed inspection in 2014, and they must have just decided that it would be better to replace it with a larger and faster elevator. I've ridden this a few times, and it is definitely not in as good of shape as it was when I first rode in in 2017. However, I think it is better than it was last year when I rode it.
