I decided to sneak out the house and venture out to Fair Oaks Mall. Fair Oaks Mall opened in 1980 and was designed by Taubman. The design is reminiscent of another mall near where I live called Marley Station Mall. That day I decided to film the escalators in one of two Macys their. The escalators in this Macy's, Macy's I are manufactored by Schindler. The escalators in Macy's II which I think was a former Hechts are westinghouse. The tinted glass balustrades are identical to the tinted glass balustrade at Macy's in Westfield Annapolis Mall accept the ones in Westfiedl Annapolis have a brownish tint to them and these in Macy's II have a blackish tint to them. I also filmed the freight eleveator at Macy's I which was manufactored by Peele. If anyone has any more information on this mall or Westfield Annapolis you are welcome to add.
