This haunting melody takes me back to the German concentration camps that I toured 30 years after the war. I wept aloud. Itzhak Perlman puts his entire depth of feeling into this piece. Simply amazing. What a great tribute to those who died. Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
great, john williams composed music for many movies and won 5 oscars for famous movies such as star wars, superman, charade, also played for henry mancini, etc ill have the chance to see him next month in colorado springs.
The mournful cries of those strings.. hauntingly beautiful. It sends chills down to my bones, and goosebumps crawl on my skin. I'm crying, and that never happens with music. Such a beautiful piece.
This music has the beauty of the most delicate senses a human being can translate into an instrument or an orchestra. I simply love it and could keep listening to it forever... So divine!!!
Especially at the end when the show the survivors and family of survivors along with the cast placing rocks on Oskar's grave. It's such a touching moment. Even now, just thinking of the emotion of that scene while listening to this is making me well up. It's just... chillingly beautiful.
The rush (tingles and shivers surging throughout my body) I get from listening to this piece is by far better than any drug induced rush I have ever felt. Amen.
I admire you Mr. Perlman. Not only that you are my world greatest violinist but you also are a well nature person with sense of humor and very kind voice.
Oskar Schindler is proof that there is the spark of greatness in all of us, and that it will remain hidden until it looks us in the face and gives us a chance to let it shine.
I like that part specially the grave scene,..I am thinking that when you do good things people will love you for what you did and the future generations will always remembers you..
