Outstanding! I’m especially impressed by Tucker’s confident proficiency, and by the number of repetitions he will perform before earning a treat. It’s inspiring to see the amazing potential of the attractive and hardy schipperke, a breed I’ve always much admired, yet so rarely see performing to its potential. Tucker’s tail is beautiful and in harmonious balance with his stout body. I wish every schipperke could, like Tucker, keep its beautiful tail, so important for communication and agile movement. Thank you for sharing Tucker’s trick repertoire!
Wow! Schipperkes are so smart, and I really do think they live to please (despite how stubborn they can be.) Mine learned the names of his toys without me trying, and one time I was feeling too lazy to take him on a walk and I jokingly said “go get your leash for me” and VOOM! Off he went to grab his leash where I had left it, not in the usual place, either. They’re such smart dogs with a lot of potential. Very nice to see.
I'm afraid I can't help you with US breeders as I am based in the UK. Tail docking has been banned here for some time so all UK Schipps keep their natural tails which is lovely.
He's clicker trained and mostly these tricks are free shaped. They are such smart little devils I've found they like the challenge of working things out for themselves!
