Wow that is so similar to what I am going through! I thought I was experiencing psychosis, but I came across Depersonalization and now things make more sense. Thanks for sharing your story this was so helpful.

@@jaayrepzz yeah.. i realised it was psychosis after all and still tryina manage it. Once its there isnt never really gone.

@@GulamMohammed-s7c not exactly Its just that the experience of psychosis is very similar to depersonalization in terms of perception of surroundings. Yet if the depersonalizations comes with delusions and other psychotic symptoms then the diagnosis changes from depersonalization to psychosis. Btw I do have schizophrenia after all. The man in the video too has schizophrenia. If u want to learn more ask me

Dpdr doesn't include hallucinations or delusions... But it can be a symptom of virtually every psychiatric disorder. You clearly had psychotic episodes that also included depersonalization as an add on symptom. Glad you are better anyway.

My mom is bipolar and schizophrenic... when she’s unmedicated, you can tell. Her whole demeanor changes.. she was ‘normal’ and had a job while on meds, she decided to not take and she up and left.. went missing for a year, found out she was sleeping under a bridge the whole time. I saw the way she was while not medicated and you do not act that way at all. Like her brothers were both like her and when they weren’t on meds.. they were all insane. My two uncles ended up dead because of circumstances around it.

Certain medication can have those side-effects and food usually refined carbs. Food we ingest today is more a drug than actual food , with glyphosate on fruits and vegetables to refined flour and sugars. A ketogenic diet can possibly help , it helped children in the 1920's with several ailments and look for Dr. Eric Berg too.

Wow. I’m so grateful that you have shared this. Your honesty is really brave. I believe we have to work hard to remove the stigma that surrounds mental illness and treatment, because truly, so many people suffer and are afraid to seek help. I have dealt with depression and had to relearn how to process, and how my emotions affected my physical body. Thanks again for sharing, I really appreciate you. ❤️

Thank you. Thank you. I cannot thank you enough. I am 15 and just 3 months ago I had a horrifying panic attack after a lot of things happening and getting overwhelmed, I thought I was going insane, I was hospitalised, when they said it was a panic attack I didn’t believe it. I had hallucinations and believed they were gonna kill me, I had no clue what was happening. I didn’t feel my body and it felt like I was having a heart attack. I didn’t know where I was for 4 hours, I didn’t know what was real and what wasn’t. It felt like a nightmare that went on in my head forever. The ptsd that came after that was the worst part. Every night it felt like I was reliving it again, I had hallucinations every night to the point where I couldn’t tell what was real and what wasn’t. I’ve been feeling really alone and misunderstood. I didn’t understand and I wanted to know what happened. I thought I went insane and experienced a psychotic episode. By watching this I now realise what has happened to me and I really recognize the symptoms. It was a terrifying experience but knowing what it was now has made me feel more at peace with what happened. I still get derealization sometimes and it’s scary and I start believing that life is a simulation and everyone is fake and I’m not really here and stuff, but I’m also getting help for that. I really hope to never experience that again and I hope everyone here has gotten some awnsers and feels more understood too. Thank you again. If you’re reading this, you’re gonna get through this, you’re not alone.

Can you make an update on schizophrenia and depersonalization? Idk if I have this and I can’t afford to see a psychiatrist :( . Idk I’m torn between what I have . I know I have depersonalization and derealization . But lately idk if I have something else too. Sometimes I feel like I manic episodes but idk if it’s just me having a panic attack from all the stress and dissociation. I feel like I’m in a constant state of existential crisis. I’m constantly thinking about death and age. It sucks . I feel like I can’t be a normal human :(

I was a loner since i was a kid. When I'm 16 yrs old, i go in restroom to wash my face, after i look in the mirror alot of questions are pop up in my mind. I'm still confused because i don't know if im depressed or not but maybe i have depersonalization and schizophrenia

Angelo do you have panic anxiety attacks? I have them, I have PTSD....My Son that was killed his wife has Bipolar and takes spelling is correct Lithieum and has to have her kidneys checked regular. God Bless You!!
