Summer is here along with it’s rising temperatures. In Texas, the weather can change in instant, but one thing is for sure during the summer…..It’s going to be hot and sticky. One of the best ways to beat the heat during these long Texas Summer days is to enjoy a water park and there is one park that comes to mind, Schlitterbauhn.
Schlitterbauhn has several locations in Texas, but the closest one is in Galveston, TX. Schlitterbauhn Galveston is a 26 acre complex that has over 30 different attractions. This location also has the Massiv Monster Blaster, the world’s tallest water coaster at just over 81 feet tall. They even have a section called Wasserfest which is enclosed and heated during the winter for year-round fun.
Ace and I decided we wanted to go on a road trip down the Gulf Coast of Texas and Schlitterbauhn was our first stop. My favorite part is the lazy river. I enjoy floating around the park and people watching. Remember to bring a picnic if you want to save some money, but no glass or outside alcohol is allowed in the park.
