One of the first, if not the first, tangential turntable; conceived from Pierre Clement in 1967 and consequently produced after his dead from Schlumberger…
Thats a really interesting turntable. I always thought that Schlumberger/Solartron was just lab and test gear. Just a shame there's no 78 option. What kind of compliance range does the arm support? It seemed to be distorting, was that mistracking, a worn record or just the microphone recording it? Great turntable though😊
Hi, I’ve mese the recordings with my iPhone, so maybe is not the best for sound 😬, but it’s sounds great…. This is probably the first commercial tangential turntable! It is actually a Pierre Clement, Schlumberger got over this brand after Clement die and commercialized this turntable that was almost a prototype… but still a great one!!!
@@ilfafioccaro417 Thanks for the reply; it's definitely new to me, and most interesting! A great machine, there can't be many of those around. It's great that you put them up here and share them with us all. 🙂
