well yeah I guess but it's not that weird pretty much a straight pull bolt action, those actually exist in america you know ? 😅 plus you have the benefits of the take down, quick straight pull ambidextrous action, ergo and modularity, last round bolt open and release, and since you you don't have gasses cycling the action it stays very clean, and in a precision build like the lmr forces you to take your time and squeeze all the precision you can get from that very accurate rifle. I have one it's pretty nice, nice trigger too...

Join a club, fit a safe, then apply for a license

@@ilikelampshades6yes, apart from most shotguns, you can apply for a shotgun certificate without joining a club, you will still need a safe.
