Schmincke Horadam Watercolor Tutorial and Artist Palette 

Oh I loved this! I lovelovelove watching process videos of my favorite artists. It’s such a nice little view into a very personal world. I am not shy but I find it very hard to share my art and sharing my process would be a fear to conquer. Seeing how others work and work through the difficult beginning stages makes me feel much less self conscious about it. I love your style. I would so broken-hearted to have to choose between Schmincke and Daniel Smith. Schmincke quality is beyond anything else I’ve ever experienced. They have colors that I thought I didn’t like until I tried their version and suddenly I realized I do love it lol Their transparent orange and transparent ochre are so useful and I’m not sure what I’d do without them. I’m so excited for your coloring book! I love to see your process so I can try and make your line art work for me. Hope you are well! ❤ thank you for all the knowledge and inspiration!

🌈🌈 Very interesting! Very good! Very inspirering! 🙂 I watched your video twice! Good to see the proces starting with a pencil sketch. Then ink - with an ink pen. BTW which pen? What ink? ... I have only made disasters with pens. 😞 Modern fibertip pens: No mess, but they fade after a short time 😞 Pens for technical drawings: Do not fade, but are not pleasant to work with. They also tend to dry, when left unused for a while AND a nightmare to get working again. 😞 I'll really appreciate a tip from You here. Then the watercolors!!! 🙂 This is, what I am looking for! My set of Schmincke watercolors is waiting for me to get started in the quiet days ahead. I have tried some poor quality watercolors. To me it was a complete waste ... I know, that everything matters here: The paper, the ink, the colors. As a hobbyist the proces of getting familiar with the materials is a big part of the fun. I will look for more interesting info in your blog and more of your work as inspiration. Thank you very much for sharing with us! Keep up your good and inspirering work 😎

I really liked seeing the color palette and especially the lemon yellow. I think most lemon colors look pretty bad, too, but this one is nice. 🌈
