I do hope Saint releases it someday, the whole thing scratches a distinct aesthetic itch in my brain and I want very badly to just wholeheartedly immerse myself in it
This was a fascinating and really well made video!! I hope it reaches a larger audience since there’s a lot of misinformation about this topic out there
The fact that the game comes shipped as a website and you open the plain html file locally without any additional software like php shows this cant communicate out of hosts machine nor can it be online.
No one believes me but I made that 4chan thread: I am a longtime watcher of Saint and got to test Schnell. Being a 17 year old I spun up the backstory, took a couple screenshots and posted it on 4chan. I really went for the mid 2000s spoopy creepypasta angle. It is very surreal having your /x/ post seen by millions.
i legit love these kinds of "dead MMO" games, art install, and mysteries. As soon as i learned of Schnell from Nexpo though, i knew it was an offline art project. There's some subjects (CP) that feds around the world have on lockdown. As an example, the "restored" (not original) version of Sad Satan got the hobby dev in trouble and arrested due to the images included to make the game try to match the original story. When making "dark-web" game, remember that its the things you dont say which has the most power in making the place feel real. For example, you can include that pipe-B making class but allude to the ingredients. having people talk in innuendo and vague suggestions can fill in the horror aspect a lot more than just using the words outright.
Yeah, I feel like if you saw two people speaking fluently in code that would be a lot more eerie than them just outright talking about it. In real life in online spaces people do not talk so openly and blatantly about illegal topics, them talking about it in code would be more realistic feeling.
Hello friend! I'm doing a lot of research into Schnell in preparation for my own video on it. I wanted to ask you: where did you get the information that Schnell Online was never intended to be online? Is it from your source that you mention in the video? Is there any possibility that I could get a screenshot or something of them saying that? This video is very well put together!
a lot of the games on saint's channel aren't his they're just Really Obscure. i know that the 14? series (yeah theres 3 of em) were made by some japanese artist
Even before the like pretty obvious joke elements like the manual it felt pretty obvious just from like the first screenshot and the youtube channel that this was hust like 4chan edgy lol posting right? Thumbnail of his dangerzone stuff and the baroque let's play gives pretty obvious vibes of what type of content it is.
so cool man i'm glad i found this. but: what's up with the reddit post by DismalAlternative865 claiming that Saint and his friends do publicly engage in CSAM?
um acshually ☝️🤓 it is in fact based on worlds first, specifically worlds gold and the black and white patent picture with the penguins, card game is a reference to pink gear collection which he plays in full in his channel, im also convinced there's a bit of revenge of the sunfish vibe in there too
I feel like Schnell Online's art style and overall feel reminded of me of Strange Town (Of The Killer), an obscure video game series made by the creator of Space Funeral and Goblet Grotto. So I just paused this video and went to check out Saint's RU-vid channel and it turns out, that he released a video just 2 days ago, of him playing a game from the Strange Town series. The most important part is WTF IS SHNELL GOLD, Ever since I learned about this game I’ve been wondering why in this deep web supposedly pedo and terrorism related game have some subscription service
So this game is basically that one Goat Simulator DLC that gaslights you into thinking it’s an online game with a paywall except if it were run by 4chan
