So wait, as Grenadian do we not have our own culture, which is inclusive of calypso music as our national genre?.... This style to Calypso is nothing new. Let us move on with our business, for those who have a problem with it, move even faster as Calypso will always be written using play on words. That's just cultural entertainment, its "we thing" from way back when, and not to be taken to heart in most cases. Grenada as a Caribbean nation has its own belief in regards to right and wrong, which is a general moral standard, of which the vas majority of citizens share. Our belief of God plays that role, which often dictates our perspectives on many things, primarily right and wrong. Calypso often given us a perspective reflection with an entertaining twist based on execution. The acceptance of homosexuality is an outside influence which often excludes the word of God. Which as Grenadians the word of God is simply part of the household. So the attack on this song is seems to be also influenced, which brings me to ask..... Really and truly, who are these people to come and dictate to us our moral views, when in fact they are attempting to wire the minds of others, and disrupt their own beliefs without any regards to their culture. Sounds like a bunch of outcast if you ask me, colonization all over again. People on here are quick to criticize Scholar's song due to the fact that it doesn't fit an outside agenda. Both pan and homophobia...that's how satire/innuendo works. Make a guess, which part of the song are people really jumping up to? The part about the demise of pan? Haha!
