Secondly, the book pretty much just addresses all the things teens want to know regarding sex. Not what parents would like their pubescent kids to know, but what these kids actually want to know and/or should know. Not addressing all those issues will just lead to those teens getting their info from who-knows-where, possibly exposing them to harm. Yeah it's unfortunate that some teens sext and send nudes. If I could magically prevent all minors from doing so I would. But in reality they'll do it regardless whether you forbid them to or not, so better they learn how to do it safely.

One of the most common traits of an abuser/molester is they will tell the children to not tell their parent/guardian about what is happening between them. That's exactly what is happening in schools today. I've seen several videos taken on student cell phones of teachers telling students they shouldn't let their parents know what is being talked about in their classroom.
I remember when I was in elementary. There was a police officer who was on stage teaching children about good touc and bad touch and what predators would say to the victim in order not to tell their parents. It usually would come in a form of a threat of hurting, harming or killing parents, friends, siblings or close relatives or loved ones in or to scare the child in order to continue the sexual abuse. If I were president of the board, I would propose a rule: 1) Any book that cannot be read during a live board meeting must instantly be banned from the school. 2) Every new book must have the name of the person who approved it on record. 3) Any materials that are considered lude or pornographic will be referred to the police or DA along with the name of the person who approved it.

I am both shocked and disgusted that the concerned father was silenced by a vote of 5-2 when he did nothing more than read a page from a book that was approved for young kids by the school board! He did nothing obscene or that would be censored on radio or television but still he was shut down. Why? Just read this morning that a Judge in Georgia ruled against a school board that would not allow a parent read sexually explicit passages from a book he took out of the grade school library. The Court ruled that the school board violated the parents 1st amendment right to freedom of speech and fined the school district over $100,000. Maybe these parents could use the same argument to fight their school board. I don’t imagine any school district can afford paying fines these days…..maybe they will learn a lesson and start allowing parents to have a say in their child’s education.
I commented earlier as i didnt know how to form an opinion on the book being read as they only said kids which technicllay includes highschool, middle school and grade school. If a book like that is in grade school i would find that incredibly innapropriate. They should be discovering the joy of reading through fantasy novels with characters from worlds far away and not learning how to read through sex ed books.

This parent did nothing wrong in reading from books included in classes directly to the board making all board members and other parents aware and the school board members shutting him down, reflects incredibly poorly upon them. How many of them were also unaware of the contents in these books they have allowed into their schools? If the board members ARE aware and approve of them, why would they shut his testimony down?
It just astonishes me that parents are not allowed to read these books out loud to other adults on the school board and yet little kids are allowed to read these books as much as they want. What a backwards world we live in! When will these school boards grow up and take responsibility? If they are not willing to remove this material from the school libraries then they should be fired immediately.

Not enough parents actively participate on PTA night once in the month. Naturally even fewer show up for public hearings with the school board Im not sure how popular this is anymore, I just know there are still public schools who invite parents to sit in on teachers meetings once a week to provide more PTA involvement. When more than just a handful of parents show up for those weekly meetings, theyll move them to the cafeteria or the auditorium ...thats what happens when its a hot issue like sex education, or a popular problem such as school lunch provided through a state benefits program, for students in low-income families
I shouldve just asked a question. Its forthcoming I havent had children in elementary school since the 90's. Im completely out of touch now, & its not just the homosexual/ degenerate agenda. (So-called "LGBT+") I keep hearing about other things just as bizarre, like not teaching cursive anymore. So, do elementaries & h.s.'s still have monthly PTA? Or have they demigogged that into school board-only??
School boards, HOA meetings, Chamber of Commerce meetings, etc. Most of these entities carry themselves like they're still in high school. Egos, immaturity, and a complete disregard for the citizens they are supposedly working for. Calling them out for ANYTHING will certainly and immediately motivate them to censor you with whatever BS reason they can come up with.
Yes regarding HOA is happening right now if anyone opposes the Board they avoid you, shun you or prevent you from being on any committees… this has to stop

They really do need to be... I have family members that are teachers that oppose it as they don't want to be punished due to the actions of a minority of deranged teachers, but the profession is being ruined by NOT holding the bad one's accountable. @Fedeleness Are these the same unions that say violence against teachers is at an all-time high? Daycare facilities have them. Special education classrooms have them. More and more parents are pushing for them, asking their state and local representatives to pass more bills. Hopefully It's only a matter of time.
I'm sure you'd get a lot of people saying cameras in the class wasn't "Safe". Still can't figure out school shootings, but they'd be VERY sure cameras would be a bigger threat.
When I was in school, I got taken to the Principal's office for drawing a naked woman. And they made a big deal about it, calling my mom, threatening to expel me......until I told them I drew the picture from a DRAWING BOOK that was in the school library. I made such a good point when my mom got there and said, "how they going to suspend me for drawing from an instruction book that is in the school's library?" And she backed me up and they backed down. This was in Spring Hill, KS. They didn't do anything to me and their solution was to remove the book.
Dorchester County School District 2, SC. They threatened to expel me during 5th grade because I defended myself from 3 kids who ganged up on me inside the school during the recess period. I had just moved from Nevada to South Carolina due to a Military Base transfer, as my father was in the Air Force. They touted the infamous "No Tolerance Policy" to threaten expulsion, because I threw and damaged a desk to fight the 3 kids telling me they were going to put me in the hospital for being "a Yankee." Funny that... the 3 kids who tried beating me up just happened to go to the Principal's church, and nothing happened to them. Faced ZERO punishment. Same school district kept me out of advanced classes due to administrative negligence (requested scores for a completely different student, and took 3 years to admit it). Public Schools have been broken for decades, and it's due to stupidity, negligence, and arrogance in the administration.

Ditto. It was well prepared and well delivered. The reaction they love is the prudish and hyperbolic one, not the rational and calm one. It's much easier to dismiss people when they are furious and foaming, no matter how much one can empathize with the emotion. It's counterproductive.
Look what happened to Carolyn Burjoski at Waterloo school district, Ontario. She didn’t even get four minutes into her 10 minute presentation to the board about the age inappropriateness of sexually explicit books in elementary schools. She has a RU-vid channel under her name. And is now suing.
This must have been shut down by the media, because I'm not far from London and heard nothing about it. Pathetic what these school boards are trying do these days.

This is just another example of why all across this country parents are demanding changes be made regarding the material their children are being allowed to access at schools. Boards who outlaw reading from those materials during meetings ought to be ashamed and voted OUT of their positions.
An unsung hero..I'm a new dad, and this man is inspiring. Im in Cali and I was assuming we were the ONLY ones trying to pull this crap. They got us divided and isolated out here, but seeing my fellow man stick to his guns gets me goin. Keep at it man, I will too.

Mr. Geneaux you should seriously consider finding a charter school, or if able, consider homeschooling your child. Since covid homeschooling has increased by 50%. And the demand for charter schools is going through the roof . There are waiting lists to get on the waiting lists. People can't get out of the public school shitstem fast enough. The Dad made a good argument that fell on deaf ears. If I had a child attending public school I'd be taking him out and home schooling. I'm in Canada and this sort of thing is happening here, too.
Until they cancel home-schooling. I've been home-schooling for years but the intensity of this "diversity and inclusion" agenda is getting to the point where we will soon have no choice. I'm all for diversity and inclusion when it comes to being respectful to everyone. I'm strongly against sexual perversion and taking away safe spaces from women and children because someone decides to wear a skirt that day. As a side note, we recently had a local infant school place a transgender man (man to woman) to teach kindergarten. He wears acrylics and dances around like you'd expect and goes on to tell these vulnerable 5 year olds about how he feels pretty. The state board refused to remove said teacher because of "diversity and inclusion" so the school ended up losing 75% of the students overnight (heavily Christian and Muslim area). The worst part is that when parents pulled their children out of the school, the surrounding schools were given instructions by the area director to refuse enrolments to children who were pulled out of the the trans school.
Way to go sir!! These school boards are sickening! Thank God the one guy was decent and stepped up and said no he can speak to this. Evil is after our children big time and degenerate people running schools and parents need to stand up and be aware of what's going on. Good man right there! God bless him!
From public school. Everyone who has the intelligence should home school. It doesn't take that much time, just an hour or two a day and then most of the weekend. Vacations can double as field trips. There are homeschooling groups that can help.
I am dumbfounded by the lack of morals these board members possess. The big guy is definitely a bully, the black lady reminds me of a pit bull. Besides the two who were brave enough to vote no, the rest are sheep. Remember, you are not on this board to wield your own power, but to do what's best for our children.
They don't care! They love the power. The parents HAVE to get these dictators OFF the school board,, and put actual, caring others on there. THAT is the only way.

This dad is an absolute legend for the way he responded to the board president at the end, and so is that one board member who tried to let the dad speak on grounds of fair rules. I'm glad this meeting was recorded and published on the internet because it'll let people see how infuriating and wrong it is and all the people involved in getting these books in the library should be held accountable and punished if possible.
