It's 4AM, my daughter can't sleep, and just handed me her tablet. She has been watching this video a lot lately because she is into large vehicles like buses and trucks. She is 10 and is autistic, somewhat verbal.
I was a school bus driver for 27 years and for 5 of them I drove special needs children. During that time ,I was helped buy 2 of the most wonderful people who worked as my aides, first Tom and then Virginia. They were booth retired from other careers as I was. Our passengers ranged from 5 years old through 20. Many boys and girls were on the autism spectrum. We made an effort to know each child and their parents and in doing so, we were able to make the ride to school and home a very positive experience for everyone. We sang songs, and played games, making sure that each person was included. For the nonverbal people, we always greeted them and talked to them. There is nothing as beautiful as a child's happy face when they enter the bus. I am retired now and often think of the children and parents I have met over the years and I wish them well. It was a nice ride.
My toddler is obsessed with this video! It’s his favorite one!!! The whole time he’s watching it he’s saying hey school bus or bye bye school bus! Thank you for having such a sweet video to share with us! He watches it daily!!! ❤️❤️
My kid is also just about to start school and i cant thank you enough for the video. I showed it to him just now. Tommorrow is his first day! He seems excited.
Wait first student School Bus? That is soo cool!! I think I rode on one of those bus once from Robin Hills in Norcross, Ga. I remember my first day on that small bus. That is cute!! :D
well, my kids are autistic, it is important for them to watch it periodically so they remember and not being scared when the school started. and you have no idea how much fun to watch it with them. Also, it eases their anxiety of being "going to school" cause they "watched" themselves going to school.
I'm from K.S.A and I liked this video. it's very educational to me cause I'm a teacher and I take care of kids in bus. the thing is kids in all buses don't wear seat belt 😓 and not all seats got belts 😐
That is correct I think it might be a Collins Super Bantam. The Grand Bantam has a raised floor and is a bit higher but then of course they came out with the nexbus in 2012 but they’re still on the Chevy Express G4500 chassis regardless. But still same 6.6 Duramax
Its like picks up a first student because when I go on a school bus it says that and im the only one on school bus but on the back sometimes some kid goes first and the 2nd kid goes off bus because the kids house is closer and the 2nd kid because the house is more far then the 1st kid home
My homie had to be on this bus for a year for fighting and he told me the bus drivers had nasty attitudes with him for no reason and then my school put him on the regular bus bc he was not supposed to ride the bus for fighting
@@claudiamedina6500 Mainly because of the dual rear wheels as a lot of Type A school buses have. It also depends on the chassis like the Chevy Express and GMC Savana G4500s has dual rear wheels and some G3500s have single rear wheels
how old is your son I am an adult but you see I am in highschool still going into my senior year and regarding your son hes cute but hes probably headed his way when he gets older to watertown highschool I don't care where you guys are from but that bus seems like the exsact 37 bus that's in watertown ct. hope his bus drivers did not steal the bus if so you should remove him from your sons school district and move to watertown their on the top of the most famous and nice district list oh yeah and as he gets older if you guys live in Waterbury move out imediatley we moved to watertown ct. when I was a kid because generally the worst school system yet I am in highschool still but the age limit of my highschool goes up to age 21 years
