And some people say electronic instruments have no "soul", as if they cannot create immersion like "regular" instruments can. This one here is one of the most immersive 8-bit I've heard, really puts you in the state of anxiety, fighting for your life.
you really need to move on with the investigation... but this music is absolutely kicking, you can’t help yourself but bop. *+1% DOOM / +3 REASON / +STATUS* *STATUS: JAMMING* cant stop, wont stop +1 STR, +1 DEX, +1 CHR +faster combat actions
@@woahsauce2343 It's a much better idea you've got there, I see a high wall of difficulty and decide to smash my head against it as hard as I can. The second TRUE AKA MANTO tore me apart the first time, I didn't stop until I defeated him nearly 10 tries later.
It really matches the suffocating dread of being cornered in some far-flung hallway or small room by a blood-spattered maniac, holding an improvised stabbing instrument while your temples pound with fear and panic. You've got nowhere to go, the killer is closing in, and that electric tang is at the back of your tongue.. *You've got to kill them, before they kill you or someone else.*
I was actually thinking about making my next CoC Campaign just straight up a conversion of the WOH Mysteries turned into CoC-Adventures set in 1980s Japan. (none of my players know of this game or would play it even if they knew) Obviously I wouldn't pretend like I invented it all and I would have to take some of the random elements out of it. (like less or even no random enemies) But I think just straight "Hey guys, our next adventure is set in a small city in 1980s Japan" would work for a small campaign.
just got into the game and jesus the soundtrack is unbelievably on point. hearing this ost for the first time after reading "Suddenly, everything slows to a crawl..." and meeting an enemy named Time Warper gave me goosebumps
I must incubate in a proper environment. I must honor these works of art I have been hoarding and consummate the interactive media experience in its full glory!
Time for a fight! All enemies have 3 stats, HP, DMG, and Power. HP determines their current health, duh. At 0, you win the fight. DMG determines the amount of damage they do to you, and the type of damage, that being stamina, reason, both, or DOOM. Power represents how hard it is to hit them. The higher their Power, the lower your chance to hit. You have 200 points that you can spend on offensive, defensive, support, or spiritual actions. The lower a multiplier is, the less points that group of actions will cost. Three things to keep in mind. First, you can't equip most weapons mid-fight without a certain perk, so be equipped beforehand. Second, ghosts cannot be physically attacked (not usually, at least), so you'll have to find another way to damage them. Third, while you CAN flee, don't do it too often, as it raises DOOM. Fourth, as of version 0.9.84, some enemies are fought together. In this case, you can switch between targets at will by clicking the "AB" button. The enemy you're targeting will have an arrow next to it's health. If you kill one of the enemies, but you still have actions remaining, you will automatically attack the other one. And fifth, some enemies have special abilities, such as not letting you flee, or doing double damage when below half health, and many of them have a weakness. Hitting an enemy with their weakness will cause an additional point of damage. You can use the examine ability (located in support actions) to view these. Note: If the old god is Ithotu, all enemies do double stamina/reason (but not DOOM) damage to you, but you also hit twice as hard. Feeling lucky?
i didn't know about that power stat for enemies (as well as the version 0.9.84 multi enemies bit, been a while since i played) thank you for this actually lol
