THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE there’s so much mechanical depth to this game and all the tutorial tells you is “this is a strike, this is an ability, this is a core flip”

Thank you for the comment and love~! I found it especially hard when I first started playing Omega Strikers, and trying to connect with the greater community by watching big streamers, but then I'd brick wall by also hearing those terms of "Dribbling, Core Flip/Burst, Hard Forcing", etc., and it made my first days even more confusing, not knowing what those techniques were and how to effectively use them, leading to this series. Glad to hear that my guides are doing their job in clearing things up for everyone to understand~!

Honestly, this whole breakdown is really nice. It goes through the basics, but it also gets a lot more in depth about just the different mechanics, reasons, and timeings for it. Tbh, one of my biggest things is i sometimes forget to dribble, and just go in with an ability on cooldown that is really good to just force the issue with the enemy goalie. Plus theres the whole thing about not sending the core immediately towards the enemy goalie after getting a barrier and not knowing what to do (woops). Really great vid, and an amazing start to the series!

Thank you for the compliment on my guide~! Dribbling is such a broad field, and it's tough to quantify it's impact until you see some hard examples like the ones I provided from my own gameplay or the Primetime Tournaments. It's sooo important and can help decide the difference between a match of ping pong between you and the Goalie, and an absolute mindgame masterclass in shutting them down.

Awesome video! I've played Omega Strikers for about two months now and teaching resources are scarce. Through watching pro games and playing the game itself, I learned about dribbling in theory but that cannot compare to how helpful it is to have a guide not only break down the mechanic to its core (no pun intended) but detailed showcases of striker-specific dribbling. I always thumbs-up any Omega Strikers content I see since I want to support this game and its content creators, but you earned a subscription with this one! Keep it up!! ❤

Thank you for the compliments, and YES YES YES! Watching a few pro games really made me realize that there's a lot of common and higher-level terms and techniques that are supposed to be inherently understood, but never actually taught unless you have a friend to tell you how to do it! It's definitely a big part in why I wanted to start this series, and why I want to help everyone else new and old learn about these concepts! Thank you again for your new subscription, and I hope that I don't disappoint with my future uploads! 💛

This is a wonderful guide! I never even realized I keep tossing the ball to the goalie while dribbling, this video definitely helped me put a different perspective on the subject and I'm sure will help tons of new players! c:

ohhh the concept of dribbling back to a barrier you just popped instead of immediately going for the second barrier is new to me and it makes sense ! stronger goalies make their first priority to not let themselves get cheesed like that, so allow your other forward to reposition for the next push instead of vibe-checking the goalie 🧗 thanks boss !

Great video, dribbling has always been one of my major weaknesses so its nice to have clear cut examples of what you should be doing and why you should be doing it. Also I think an underrated dribbling pick is one two punch. It can complicate dribbling a bit if you're not ready for the speed, but characters like kazan can set up with a dribble then launch the core at light speed.

Personally, I disagree with 1-2 Punch for dribbling! 1.) Telegraphed intentions: Higher level players will take to account whatever everyone gets during opening/each set's draft, and especially if you're not an offensive Striker, this already tells them that you're planning for cheesy fast core dribbling 2.) Overforcing: Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. While I do put out all the advantages of dribbling here, stalling for time just for the sake of utilizing 1-2 punch could make you tunnel vision more on yourself, rather than just taking a clean shot or passing to your teammate. You're going to the extreme end of calling out a win condition, which only provides Core speed, and not much else. 3.) Creations: Dribbling's biggest positive is forcing enemies to react, and often has them physically moving to you, where you take advantage of them being out of position. However, the more traditional defensive goalies like Dubu, Rune, Atlas, etc. all have creations that they can just... put right in front of you when they see you dribble. Even if you're planning on slingshotting the Core at light speed with 1-2 punch, you're either hitting the creation, or having to go around it with a worse angle that the goalie will be ready to cover. Half the goal to their creation, the other half to themselves. Of course, if you're finding success with it, then by all means, I'm not stopping you! But for my own experiences and the usual players I see at my skill level, I personally don't get as much value out of 1-2 punch for dribbling.

Plat flex player here, but this is definitely something I can work on and utilize more often. It can be hard to remember all your tools with so much going on in a match. Sometimes I dribble as goalie if I'm dealing with 2 strikers on the offense against me when I'm down the cooldowns I need to clear the core. If they move in, it reduces the space they are covering, which helps me clear, and also gives me a chance to win a strike trade, and If they don't approach, I get my skills back, my teammates can move for a pass, and I can force it to them. Dribbling is also a good way to pull enemy forwards towards you, which will creates a vacuum behind them where, if you succeed in making a pass, your forwards will likely have an opportunity to 2v1 the goalie. And forcing your opponents to use abilities on defense means you can keep up the pressure with smart play, and will greatly reduce the amount of shots you need to defend as goalie. Definitely something to practice as a goalie, as it can be scary to dribble in a small area so close to your goal surrounded by strikers, but if you can make it natural, its a great way to relieve pressure and flip the map. My favorite way to use it on offense is to hit the core into the corner as a self pass so that I can cast an ability towards the goalie before choosing where to shoot the core. Classic: Zentaro special into the corner to create space and self pass, then dash forwards hitting the ball and stunning the goalie for the hard force score.

I've said before just how much your videos helped me with this game , so I'm pretty excited for this series. I used to just play goalie and climbed all the way to platinum like that, but after stumbling upon your channel and watching for a bit, I was much more confortable as a forward. (Wich is also very ironic since Zentaro became my favorite characters for the occasion lmao)

This was beautifully put together, nice editing and I can see the effort you put into this lesson. Funny enough, dribbling was one of my weak points so this was such a good one for me haha. See you on the Next video :)

People think it's so easy to dribble when I talk to them about OS, and then they just... never do it! I felt that for my opening video to SOS, dribbling had to be the subject matter, to help educate people how to properly do it, and not just talk it up!

Crazy how i learned so much from your rasmus video, i was wondering if you were gonna do any more guides. I'm glad this came out. The game could really use an SOS, so im very happy you're doing this.

Funny enough, I went in with "S.O.S." as a catchy title, but truly, the Omega Strikers community needs one with the recent news. Until OS dies out, I'm doing my part in keeping this community alive, and if it means more guides to educate the new or returning players, I'm all for it~!

@ChartreuseProxy I shared your ras guide to everyone I know who plays. They love it! Haha. I had a few ideas for like a "tutorial" of sorts, just showing new players possible ways to strike the core, what to do during which situations, etc. And I learned a lot of that from watching you. Your videos explain, hey, this player did this and it was a good move, I was in this position instead of where I should've been and fucked up, the enemy used this at the right time, great play. I love learning from this channel. Let me know if you need any ideas, I'd be happy to try and help.

OS being a pseudo-moba has lent itself well to VOD review and recognizing what you did wrong/enemy did right, and I'm glad that my own style of in-match analysis is helping people learn! I've actually got a whole bucket list of ideas for S.O.S. on the initial announcement video, which is what I'm going to lead with, but if there's anything I missed there, I will gladly take future comments from ya if you think there's something I need to cover, and that I haven't mentioned yet~!
