Insane to think that you have to clarify you don't support shootings when playing a map exclusively about *stopping* a shooting. RU-vid is cooked

my heart dropped when I saw the thumbnail because I thought it was an actual shooting posted on youtube, I didn't know it was a game

The thing that really fucked with me was the attention to detail by the developer. You can hear the phones buzzing in the background as if their loved ones are calling to check on them.

I know this is obviously ready or not, but if you wanna be realistic, you gotta move fast, because in real life active shootings, the police has to rush in and take down the threat before too many lives are taken.

Will never understand why someone would disagree with a map like this existing. It's horrible that this stuff happens, but remember, in this map your goal is to STOP the shooting.

In an active shooter scenario, especially in a school, youre moving towards the sound of gunfire or stimulus (people screaming/running away) with purpose. You guys spent too much time in that area in the beginning. You only systematically clear rooms and hallways when you dont have gunfire or other stimulus. Take the Nashville shooting for example, when those officers made entry, they didnt initially have a driving force or stimulus to push towards and started clearing rooms. But as soon as the shooter started shooting again, they moved with purpose and put the shooter down.

this is a much better looking school map compared to the current official RON school map.

What would be even more realistic is that while you guys are clearing out the building you have people screaming constantly and crying in the background noise and then also having the NPC's running through the hallways and spawning around corners or doors so there is frequently from time to time 1-3 people running through the halls and having to decide whether they are a threat or civilian. What i described is similar to what training I have been through before.

So for the realism im shocked to see the point man take multiple rounds to the chest wout flinching

The pride flags are a nice touch. Adds to the horror aesthetic.

Not knowing what Ready or Not is, I thought this was body cam and that's why I clocked on it.

Crazy to think 50 or even 40 years ago police never looked or behaved in this manner nor was a school shooting a normal yearly thing.

People forget that this game ISN'T a traditional FPS, it's more of a simulator than anything else for very real and very vile situations that some men and women put themselves through to protect people.

IRLLeo- for a bettter immersion, your actually suppose to run towards the sound of fire. I think to be more realistic, you guys should be flowing quicker towards the sounds of fire to eliminate the threat.

I think that while the custody thing is true there is no way you would have enough handcuffs realistically.

My first play through, entered the school and the suspect was there in the corridor, ended in seconds. 2nd game, he came out of the room as soon as we walked in, game over. Not had it last longer than a minute yet after a few plays

Maple Valley is a small city in Washington state, probably wasn’t intended just making note of it.

I couldn’t imagine a more stressful situation to have as a job. You respond and you’re trying to move tactically sound but also wanna work towards the gunfire ASAP. All while making the choice to clear rooms as you go and take the risk of losing more lives or move as fast as you can towards where you think the danger is and take the risk of leaving a suspect in a room you passed in turn getting more deleted or even you or a partner as you pass by the room. Would be a tough spot to be in for sure. I give a lot of credit to the officers who don’t hesitate and run towards the sound of gunfire. Not standing in the hallway using the wall mounted hand sanitizer like some cops out there.

As a kid who attended school in the 90s, seeing the CRT tvs and the computers how they had them back then was really trippy to see because its like if this was happening at my school. There were actually 2 high profile shool shootings in the 90s. Columbine and Oregan a year before that. They weren't as common.

I think it's very backwards to dog on the school shooting mission and NOT say the entire game is f*cked, no matter how you look at it or what sort of killing it is or weather it involves kids, shooting/killing people in a realistic simulation is just as violent and traumatising I don't think it's wrong to dislike the content at hand but it's a double standard to allow other content of equal impact slide if you're against it.
