Stop being tribal. Owass is a school attended by all Ghanaians. As it stands now, Kumasi has slowly become the hub of education for the Northern sector of Ghana and is on track to "outshine" Cape Coast as the educational hub of Ghana. Students in Owass come from Accra, Volta Region, the Northern parts and even Central region. So don't assume that Students there are "Asantes"

Then I guess Cape Coast/Central Region is the most developed in Ghana and the world now because Education started from there and Education correlates with development. I guess this is why Cape Coast is more developed than Japan and the rest of Ghana

Those schools started ahead but yet Prempeh and Owass that came late and are on/above their levels in terms of nsmq performances, Ivy league pipelines (Owass being the first school in Ghana to be SAT center), wassce, robotics competition (Prempeh being the first high school in the entire Africa to win a global robotics competition)...

Kwabotwe is not culled from Mfantsipim; it is related to the location of the school. Augusco and Adisco are not perfect acronyms of the respective schools. OWASS's is exceptional because each word stands for a portion of the name of the school. One thing some of you miss is the Ashanti region is far richer than the Central Region. This is the backdrop: Prempeh was built to mirror Mfantsipim while OWASS was established to parallel Saint Augustine's. A lot of the headmasters of OWASS were Augusco Alumni. The vibes are a bit different. Kumasi has their own culture and vibe different from Cape. I went to OWASS myself. At that time, we did Latin. We saw Pope John Paul pass through OWASS to Saint Hubert. One smart thing the educators did at that time was make English Literature mandatory for the O'levels. The rationale was to get people who did not like reading be forced to read something. As a result, people did very well in English at the O'Level. As for discipline, OWASS was strict. We were lashed with a slab of tire. We had a Dutch chaplain by name Father Habits. If that man ever saw you in town, be assured he would ask you back in school if you had an exeat. Trust me, there were bad boys at OWASS just like at any boy's school, but one little mistake you will be dismissed. Above all, we were forced to go to Church after prep.

St Hubert is not only closer to OWASS but they share the same land and both schools belong to the Catholic church.
