If they did music together even if it was just one song that would’ve HUGEEEEE. See YG is from Compton so the NIP and YG shit really wasn’t big imo because they hoods don’t beef.!But imagine a Hoover and a 60 doing music!!! Monumental
A Schoolboy Q & Nipsey Hussle collab wouldve been monumental on the west. Regardless if it was one track or a mixtape. Two artists from rival hoods that span decades of conflict actually linked up and made music? SoCal wouldve been lit in a good and bad way. Good from their musical peers at the time to the bad because of LA politics and how they're supposed to operate off rip because technically its supposed to be on sight with these 2 gangs. Them working together wouldve raised eyebrows...
Yea Q dont wanna highlight ANY beef or gang politics at this point in his life. Def good to see bc he was NOT this peaceful before. Homie grew out of the situation he in and paving the way to better living. No more bs rap narratives and hate
Q talking different now. His immediate response back in the day was our hoods dont get along and its a long history. Hood politics. He trying to show growth but it is what it was. Respect tho
Q spoke this with Charlamagne. He said he wanted to be friends with Nip but because he’s Hoover and Nipsey is 60s, he couldn’t even interact with him but on the day Oxymoron dropped Nip was the first one to hit him up
J. Stone from Nipsey's crew did an interview with T-Rell who's a Hoover & it was a great conversation & I can see the genuine love & mutual respect they have for each other despite being from enemy hoods
Schoolboy and pretty much most of TDE always been lowkey and mature about how they move. U gotta respect that... like he said "What do you have to prove to other ppl?" I wish more ppl had this mindset
Yeh, I was so confused as to why he would say that I got stuck on it for quite a while, like, Wtf? do you think that's normal to say? Then i realised what he was most likely thinking was due to how much Nip put himself on the front line of his community directly, was out there connecting to people often, did he think something like that could happen to him as most rappers with big staus are known to do the opposite isolate in a big mansion somewhere gated of and just have security amd day one friends in there life...that's the only thing I could think his inarticulate booze slowed brain may have been trying to say and the sad thing to say is if Nip had isolated in his wealth he would still be here most likely
I disagree, he just awkward around niggas he don't know. Go watch his Danny Brown interview or his interview with BACKONFIGG. Dude seems more himdelf. real shit.
Losing Nipsey hurt a lot of ppl man 😢 To have a man of that caliber have his life taken from him over such a trivial and ignorant thing… and at the hands of a scum of the earth who has zero chance in hell of ever touching the surface of what Nip was. It’s a wrong that can never be righted.
Pnb rock wasn’t showing love.. he thought he was good in the hood and wasn’t .. everyone knows not too eat there especially with hella jewelry and a foreign car.. idk what made him think he can park there n dine in at the most jankiest roscoes
But wasn’t everybody uniting because of the music like nip and YG and Kendrick and shit like that? I ain’t doubting you I’m asking cause Im from nyc I ain’t hip to LA politics
@@vicenary5503 I’m from nyc as well but I’m crip I know they politics and Hoovers don’t Rocc with 60s like that so them two doing a song could be a punishment towards them… Nip & YG had issues after they did a song together within they hoods cause of the blood &crip thing… stupid shit I know
It's because rappers that ain't from California or LA. Want that Official Los Angeles stamp. Los Angeles Street culture influences the world from Japan Russia all of Europe. 💯
I mean it is a reasonable question to ask, he didn’t ask a question that’s disrespectful at all, it’s not that serious for people to be up in arms about.
Nipsey talked about how the Hoova vs. Rollin 60 card is REAL and them hoods beefed hard with each other. Maybe a record with Nip and Q would’ve bridge the gap between some of the beef between the 60’s and Hoovas. Probably wouldn’t resolved it completely.. but there was an opportunity to make peace with them being the biggest artist from their respective hood. Fig and Crenshaw most likely would’ve appreciated that.
Q on Hard Enough would’ve been CRAZY! Especially how he came in on YG song.. “Ngga I’m from Hoover St” .. that same energy on Nip song would’ve been bonkers
Not only my is that my favorite nip song / verse I always said Q would’ve went hard on that song bro that was crazy watching him say that live 🔥 I wish they would’ve made a banger together bro or a tape 🔥 omg a Q and nip tape would’ve been crazy 🔥
Damn I wish Q and Nip would’ve linked up not only would that have been fire music but that would have helped bridge a gap . Shoutout to Q , Rest in Paradise Nip
I’m so glad somebody said it! We need artist with this mind state…. Why would I wanna survive my hood to die in yours lol let be productive! S/o to Schoolboy Q!
Nip been wanting to do a song with Q since bullets 3,it’s an old interview….nip was always looking past the BS,…..he probably would’ve done a song with blue face too
Man Q said the realest shit ever on here. I feel like our mentality so messed up being black men coming up & out the streets. It’s like we have this desire to just be accepted in all the most dangerous places all over the country. And I understand it, because I was once a young man too so I get it but it’s like he said for what? You supposed to made it out of all of that why are you trying to go check in with gangs and look cool and look tough. We got that bad in our community. Once a FEW of my favorite rappers were all killed in LA including Nip I started looking at LA real differently, & if I ever visit there I definitely don’t want to be nowhere near none of the bullshit and hope none of the bullshit spills over into wherever I’m at.
I feel like the gang politics is definitely a big reason it never happen, they both got in the game around the same time. LA is not that big where they couldn’t make it happen
On some hood shit…Hussle actually dissed Figerou on wax in one of his songs off mixtape circuit shit…so it dont take a genius to figure out 60’s had beef w/ Q’s block. Live by the gun, die by the gun. Tragic none the less.
Plz Q just reach out to Sam and Nips estate and let Q destroy that song for the fans! I be bumpin that jam on a weekly basis since it dropper....my JBLs go hard on that beat
