Very Sad. They are Children why are they twerking. The song is so inappropriate. We are destroying our childrens innocense. They Learn what you teach them. Then how can the society improve. Why did the parents approve. Shame on all who cheered them on. Moralally bankrupt we are. And Our Children pay the price with their life.

Sad to watch children dancing this way. I don't blame the kids....its the adults exploiting their children for cheers.

They did what they were taught wonderfully, those kids rocked it. Having said that, IMO it's no the most appropriate choreography for 6-7 year old kids, there's no need to make them move as if they were 16 or older.

Shameful for these innocent kids. They probably don’t even realize what they,ve been asked to do. Very sad and disturbing.

The idea is cute, but they could have choreographed wholesome moves. I was attracted to this video coz I choreographed a cheer dance for my daughter and her friends waaaay back she was 6 years old. I had to be choosy of their moves. I kept a video of it and it’s one of my treasures. Having my daughter in it, I was making sure their moves are cute and clean. Better have a choreographer mom to help in next time for anything having little girls in it.

Hmm. I do not find it cute for some reason. It’s rather creepy and excessive “sexiness” of their performance makes it look really inappropriate.

Anyone notice the crowd only cheers when the kids are popping or gyrating?

Beautiful children who are only doing what they are told. They know no better. I would love to see small children dance hip hop that does not involve so much gyrating and bootie popping and shaking. Just not the most positive side of dance. When I move like this, I am not usually dancing. Just saying... Certain types of Hip hop dance moves are a flirtatious dance style that is raw and unfiltered like the culture that invented it. Some moves are for adults only due to the message it represents. I also would not allow my innocent child to do this routine. If she would like to experiment in this dance style as an adult, she may. Hopefully, she would choose a more classy dance style that shows style and grace.

I agree the sexualization and the girls wearing makeup were unnecessary. The song was inappropriate.

I'm black and I wasn't allowed to do moves like this at that age. I think the instructor is smoking something to teach a bunch of little kids these moves. The kids are adorable and brave to practice this routine, but shame on the instructor and the parents.

The children danced well, but that dance was highly inappropriate for 7 year olds.

Ummmm...I've been both a hip jop choreographer and preschool teacher in this lifetime. Now, as a mother of a 6 yr old daughter, most of their moves way too advanced and too mature for both the performers and their audience. Im sorry but this is done in poor taste. These babys might be having fun but they have no idea what message they are sending by thrusting and swinging their hips about. They should be learning to embrace and protect their bodys as a precious instrument used to deliver an expression or story through the art of dance. As I tell my babygirl, we love hip hop dance but never be caught looking ratchet in public. Smh..i hate that I cannot support the coach or performance for this one. Poor babys..let them study their abc's instead of leading them to believe that that is cute and a way to get attention. We can do so much better my dance world. Ijs. Respect the art, empower our future storytellers people. They are only this innocent once in a lifetime. Don't take that away from them so soon♡

Nope. It's not just a matter of "this is hip-hop dancing". There are TONS of killer age appropriate hip-hop moves with which to choreograph a routine for small children that doesn't involve twerking, not to mention how many songs to choose from that don't talk about shaking your booty. Saying otherwise is a cop-out.

I was a dancer and my high school instructor wouldn’t even let us gyrate from the front or we would have to run laps if she caught us. And she had eyes everywhere! S/O to Mrs Tappin. She said we were ladies and should always carry ourselves as such.

Maybe parents should leave the twerking and ass-shaking to the teenagers. There are plenty of other dances that are cool that they can learn and perform. But these are not my children so a parent has the right to subject their children to whatever they choose including child exploitation. Keep in mind, these are not grown women, they are barely out of their baby phase of life.

I'm so sorry because I love dance and enjoyed growing up as a child in various dance groups. But the level of sexuality in their moves as babies is a bit much. If their minds was developed enough to desire this type of performing, it would be different. But they are babies who are not of an age to be responsible enough to fully know where babies come from. Again, I love dancing and are amazed at their well perfected choreographed performance. I'm just not in agreement with them at a early childhood age delivering some of those explicit dance moves.

I think they are excellent young dancers.I hope they continue to grow as dancers. The are amazing!

I love hip-hop, but starting out small kids with the sexualized lyrics is horrible modeling. Their dance moves were great, and a few of those kids had exceptional skills. It’s the song that was wrong. We have to do better for our kids.

The past years have shown how even teens can get led astray by some morally bankrupt person...promising fame and fortune only to be taken advantage of by deviants masquerading as talent agents. It doesnt take much to get the morally bankrupt going. Parents... follow your daughters home. Teach them to be wise and stable. How many child stars have been devastated by doing all they can for that one opportunity, which often is only opening a world of pain and hurt. Prayers for these young ones....The world is a scary place for them to grow up. Teach them moral and defensive skills that they need and let them just be Kids.
