You asked, “How’s that?” Terrific!! I doubt there will ever be a more spirited rendition. And the way you saved the day when the strap threw a tantrum showed real savoir faire.
Fabulous tune, very well played - thank you for sharing! If my strap(s) fall while playing, I have a kind of fit and break out in a sweat. Well done on all counts!
Can be a bit of a problem - if you have a bit of spinal curve caused by standing on your head in the middle of s motorcycle race (guilty as charged, m' Lud) -- I've had to go wth a crossstrap on my two-row otherwise it's hanging down around my knees by the end of a tune. I love the way that one strap works -- I just can't make it work for me.
A very happy tune that makes me want to dance. I like how your body moves to accentuate the rhythm. Great accompaniment chords toward the last couple of phrases. 👍🏼🙏🏽
Well done I think now I have to learn this tune. so I can play this on my accordion. Brilliant job and excellent timing. Have a gorgeous weekend. Patrick of Canada Your new Friend.! That looks like a lovely old accordion it had large bellows. The one I have has small bellows but does the job. thanks for sharing your amazing talent. You ROCK!❤❤❤❤❤❤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌈🌈🌈🌈😇😇😇😇🌄🌄🌈🌈😃😃🙋♂🙋♂🙋♂🙋♂☀☀☀☀🌹🌹❤❤💖💖💖💖🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Ah cheers Will! 🙏 It's on their 1992 'The Rhythm Method' cd; probably some debate on the spelling, but that's how they spell it so good enough for me! 😁
That's wonderful! I love your playing style, you bring fantastic life to tunes like this which are all to easy to play in a rather plodding style. That's a marvellous box, too - love the basses. Thanks so much for posting. There are several versions in C on folk tune finder.
Absolutely brilliant! Cracking tune and I really enjoy the energy you're putting into playing it. I also loved how you handled the shoulder strap dropping, brilliant!
Yes I can imagine! What key is the box in? I've currently got this on loop. The tune is fantastic and your playing is just giving me such a big smile. Best thing to happen all weekend so far!
It's actually a G/C, it just happened to be out... it was meant to be a D/G, with the tune being in D. So glad you enjoyed it, it was actually just a bit of fun, recorded for a couple of friends! 😆
@@lis_jo_mcd858 I didn't think it was a D/G! It sounds excellent on the G/C. I'm going to (very slowly) try and learn to play it on my D/G now. Is it ok if i share it please?
She had such a faultless transition from strap to knee that i am convinced that had a tornado struck she could have finished with aplomb while upside down. Her style is so perfect for the box that i am reminded of Olivander in Harry Potter saying that the wand chooses the wizard. Something equally other-wordly is going on here.
@@lis_jo_mcd858 It's well tuned, too. The wetness/beats on the right hand side just ring and the chords are perfect matches. I''ve played some with Ian Dedic and Anahata (and a few Melodeons at Witney even though I'm in the US) and you find some chords there that I've never even heard! Great box and great playing. I'm going to check your "Subscribers List" and find some more.
@@brucebear1 gosh thank you! 🙏 It is a lovely box, yes... it was well-loved before it found its way to me that's for sure! It needs a few tweaks (there's a note slightly out now I think, & I've broken a bass note) but just a super box to play, & so rich! Maybe that's the key tho, too... 🎵
Wow what a this is I am blown away by it how can one have so much talent , I notice you play treble side with the Morris grip , do you find this better than the thumb method
Heya Peter, thank you for your kindness! 🙏 I'm a Morris player haha! No thumb-strap on this one, but have always avoided using them yeah, as don't find them comfortable 🎶
