I ordered it for a work/beater knife so I'm not abusing my pm2. It seems perfect for me, not a super hard steel so unlikely to chip/snap, I'm not worried about edge retention because if I need a sharp knife for slicing I have my pm2
Hey man, nice video, just got this knife. The sheathe is indeed setup to carry horizontally. You use the same holes in the sheathe but use the top two or bottom two holes on the belt clip, not right two or left two as you would for vertical carry. I took the clip off altogether and added an iwb metal clip, great for concealing and a very good sized knife for edc.
Although my previous fixed edc was a walmart piece of garbage Ozark trail camping knife for under 10 bucks that I bought mostly to practice my stone sharpening... So wtf do i know?😂 I like the sch15 a lot though, ridiculously comfortable to carry inside waistband with simple modification.
Great video! Have you ever checked out the Mora Companion with a carbon blade? I just picked one up for just under $14 and so sharp that it is ridiculous, lol. I'd love to get your thoughts on one in a future video. :)
Thanks Mariah! That's a great knife, for sure. One of the most functional fixed blades for its price, especially in fine bushcraft. The scandi zero grind makes it wicked sharp, very durable, and a delight to sharpen on flatstones. The morakniv handles have always been very ergonomic and comfortable, which is a must for carving, etc. The only complaint on my end is the lack of a full tang on most models, so you can't put it through any heavy duty, brutal batonning or chopping. But then again, it is made for the finer end of bushcraft. I'll definitely cover my opinion of it in my upcoming review of the TOPS Steel Eagle 111A. Thanks for the comment/view!
Great review. I'm still thinking about buying this one. And after your vid - I'm propably gonna go for it. I'm looking for something new, EDC, with the ability break a glass in a car window if needed. After this review, i think it can fit rescue knife role too. I'm happy to hear that it's dureable. About sharpness, well i now have a cheap, stainlesd steal knife so it's still gonna be superior. Thanks for review! Very helpful.
