Hey skipper great vids as always. Love the new cutting tools you got. I was only able to afford the schf36 since its older and now I'm wishing I waited a little to get one of these recent ones you reviewed. Love the micarta schrade you did before this one. Keep on keepin on sir!
+Jon Z Save up,, get a second one,, never hurts to have more than one tool. Two is one and one is none,, as they say. These are a good affordable way to have a decent survival knife or two,,,,
+Jon Z I had a thought and ordered a 36. I did this after your comments and as I had been looking at one for a month or so. I have an idea on how to best use this knife in a survival situation but need one to test and try out a few things. Actually you have inspired me to shoot another video and address the concerns you mentioned above. keep an on my channel as I plan to make the vid this weekend and post it. weather permitting!!
+Jon Z Jon, of the three, I loved the 36. it is just right for so many things. It balances well in the hand and is tough as nails. The finger choil is just right. I have always been a proponent of a 6" blade and I still am, but I would walk out into any thing with the 36 on my side at any time. In fact this now lives in my get home pack in the back of the Xterra. For the price,, one cannot beat this knife and I would put it up against a BK2 any day. On the video I did you can see it go through hard oak and never even blink!! I like it better than the 37 (just too big) and the 38. I would say this, with a corona folding saw, 20 bucks at lowes or anywhere else, there would be nothing you couldn't do in survival situation! I think you made a great choice, regardless of finances!!!
OK, I'm confused. The title says the SCHF-9N but you say it's the SCHF-9. Soooo, which is it????? The 9N is the refined version of the 9 and I own a 9N and I love it.
SkipperT Well, for a moment I thought that you were going to be only the second YT host to review the 9N. Chirs tanner (PM101) is the only one who has and he said he preferred the 9N overall to the 9 in a side by side comparison. Stay well Skipper ;)
