Ich war sehr zufrieden mit dieser Leistung. Der Aufstieg war nicht einfach. Die Suche nach einer neuen Stimme ist vorbei. Jetzt ist Aksel ein reifer Opernsänger geworden.

Wow, I think this is the limit. It couldn't be better. I compared it with Fischer-Dieskau's 1969 recording, when he was 44 years old. His timbre had already begun to fade, although this was compensated by his super-mastery. And at the age of 21, Fischer-Dieskau performed in front of German prisoners of war in American captivity. 😀 It turns out that Aksel Rykkvin is the world's best high baritone. For musicians, this is clear. And teachers will tell Aksel how to please non-musicians. However, Aksel is very tall and very handsome, so he will not need the help of teachers in this matter. 😀

Was this a fairly early Schubert piece? It sounds almost Mozartian--it could be inserted in "Magic Flute" very easily. Also, I can't believe that you haven't been scouted by the movies, with your looks and presence. You are at least as good looking as the Skarsgaard brothers.

Thank you! You never know, but I do still consider myself a high baritone. In this song for example, I have transposed the original a minor version to g minor which currently sits better in my voice :)

Mir scheint als wäre die Verbindung zwischen den tiefen und hohen Tönen sehr holprig, ich finde das dort der Kontrast der Farben zu stark ist. Vielleicht wäre hier eine tiefere Tonart besser.

Hey Aksel, have you thought of changing to tenor? That may be your natural next step. Your voice timbre sounds tenor to me. You could start by first carefully adding always well supported higher notes to your daily vocalizing little by little and then do some Händel and Mozart and see what happens. 🙂👍

Here's the tenor. If you have a good ear for music, then you should hear the difference between the low notes of Aksel and tenor. Aksel is a tenor-baritone (high baritone).
