You can see John Banner in pre-Hogan as a support actor in the 1950's "The Adventures of Superman." BTW, Leon Askin (Gen'l Burkhalter) also was in that show.
the other actor is gary moore, who had a variety shoe featuring carol burnett, durwood kirby (later allen funt's replacement on candid camera), and marion lorne (later aunt clara on bewitched)
It seems that Schutz became an American citizen after the war or so I thought, noticing that the airline's name is TWA and it might be in an airport somewhere in the States.
Germany wasn't quite the same after the war. There wasn't much left, and they weren't about to allocate a company to a German sargent - even if it was his by right. He would have been fortunate to end up in America, let alone get a job with the airline.
